Set against the backdrop of one of the most influential wrestling cities in the world, Raj Singh is helping carry Calgary’s wrestling legacy into a new era by training the next generation at Stampede City Wrestling Academy. In the latest episode of Living a Creative Life, we explore the evolving world of professional wrestling in Calgary through the legacy built in this city and the people shaping its future.
See how former art student and now wrestling promoter Anna Fuchshuber creates more opportunities, experimentation, and representation within the wrestling world with her new Alberta Arts Professional Wrestling (AAPW). And how Dallas Hart is continuing his family’s wrestling legacy through the launch of Dungeon Wrestling, a cutting-edge promotion reimagining what wrestling can look like for a new generation.
Host Adora steps directly into the ring, learning the fundamentals of wrestling from in ring technique and physical performance to the art of character building and spectacle. As she trains with the wrestlers and experiences the intensity of the sport firsthand, she also learns how to craft and perform her own wrestling promo, discovering the theatricality, charisma, and storytelling that have made professional wrestling such a powerful cultural force. 🤼♀️

If your brain needs a little texture, colour, weirdness or wonder, May’s exhibitions aren’t messing around. This month, Calgary galleries are serving up animated mini-series, handcrafted pottery, process-heavy printmaking, luminous contemporary painting, photographic fragments of everyday life and immersive installations that pull together textiles, sculpture, light and sound.
There are works made from flora, cloth and organic matter; student-created monsters that blur into community storytelling; beaded wall hangings rooted in lived experience; and painterly collages built from joy, memory and care.
In short, a wild mix of exhibitions where every sense collides in mind-boggling ways. 👀⚡️

Calgary has always been a city shaped by what happens outside the gallery walls. Murals, monuments, sculptures and installations have quietly woven their way through its streets, forming an open-air collection that belongs to everyone.
Now, we’re launching our first ever Public Art Guide, a digital map that turns the entire city into a museum. Built in collaboration with @builtbyfield, the guide brings hundreds of public artworks into one living, evolving archive, a tool that connects people to the places and stories that define Calgary.
In this powerful new Living a Creative Life episode, we speak with the team behind the public art map and hit the road to experience the city through its art.
What emerges is a portrait of a place in motion: layered, diverse and full of memory.

Sunset house music, wild new exhibitions, park hangs and powwow? Oh yes, Calgary understood the assignment this week.
There are new exhibitions opening, writers reading fresh work, musicians jamming in open circles, artists live-painting, dancers gathering for powwow, markets full of local makers, classical music with a video game twist and a park party built for blankets, friends, kids, dogs and food trucks. 💕🌭
A little weird. A little beautiful. Very, very, VERY worth poking your head into.
And that’s not even the whole list. See this week’s full free arts and culture roundup at the link in bio. 🔥

This banner is an ode to spring medicines. This piece features the beautiful crocus, the first flower to bloom in the spring. In the Cree creation story, the Creator gave the crocus its fur coat to keep it warm, its purple colour to represent the mountains surrounding this territory and its yellow middle to represent the return of the sun.
Roots appear in the design to represent how many spring plants store energy underground before pushing through the soil. Pussy willow is also included, a plant used as a medicine to help treat pain, inflammation and fevers.
The stars above and below represent how the Cree people believe Star Woman brought many of these medicines from the Star World to plant on Mother Earth to protect and look after humans.
If you see my art out in the wild, please send me photos! I love to see them 🤩

Some places don’t just show art. They hand artists the tools, the space and the entry points to make something ambitious and entirely their own - whether they’re emerging or established. As gallery curator and media artist Mackenzie Bedford puts it, EMMEDIA is a really special spot with an incredible breadth of technical knowledge, but also the anything-goes vibe needed to uplift underground artists.
A rare combination. 🔦💡
Join Adora as she steps inside @emmediayyc to explore how the centre continues to evolve as both a media arts gallery and a place for artists to gather and learn.
Through conversations with artists impacted by the organization, we see how EMMEDIA functions as a bridge - connecting artists to tools, collaborators and audiences in a space where technology, experimentation and artistic expression intersect.
Dive deep into this incredible ecosystem on our LCL Youtube channel at the link in bio. ⚡️🤯

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
