a scarf from my mother, wearing rings from both of my grandmothers, flowers from people that love me both romantically and platonically, standing in front of a body of work I am so proud of. I spent three years, countless nights, many years, many advising sessions, many breakthroughs, much scrappiness, no full installation space for a studio, made space anyway, made work anyway, connected anyway, built community anyway. I’m fucking beaming!!!!

Your Grandmothers Archive - a group show concept I have cooking up because I know I’m not the only one who is making or interested in making “archive” outside of institutional acceptance. The words, objects, memories and even sufferings of the women who made us deserve to be documented and extrapolated.

“When I die, what will you do with the things I never told you, and with the things you never told me.” My late grandmother Matilde wrote that in her poem “Lo Que no Sera” in 1974. With my MFA exhibition, relicQUE, I’m opening up that dialogue through speculative amber, light and expansive engagement with our shared archive.

Come join me this Wednesday (5/13) from 5-7 for the public reception, or get a more in depth explanation at the my artists talk this Friday (5/15) at 4pm!

Open to the public (with valid photo ID) through May 20th at @saic_galleries

33 E Washington St.

Thank you to my loved ones, advisors, colleagues and friends who got me through this program! Thank you to my grandmother for leaving this rich body of memory behind for me to uncover and extrapolate. Thank you to seminal critical thinkers and makers like @saidiya_says @stephanie.dinkins @curryhackett who are paving the way for how so many of us engage with, expand and critically fabulate our personal and collective archives.

💡The #DoxtoLight exhibition is almost here!!! Opening fri. 10/20 from 6-8pm, this private family art collection of the legendary late printmaker Dox Thrash is finally available for public viewing after 60 years ✨ so proud of the whole team that it’s officially installation day for the collection @fleisherart 🔨

🛋 come visit Aunt Esther’s living room, flip through family photo albums and see the personal notes and process work of #doxthrash from a fresh but nostalgic and intimate lens.

V honored to have been given the chance to creative direct this exhibition, so if you’re in philly (or the east coast) come through!

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
