Day 30 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, heading north on West Canyon Trail toward Admiralty Trail. Well folks that is a wrap on 30 days of running, big thanks to @caprarunning Running for another great challenge, it really is a great way to keep active in what is usually a cold and wet month. I encourage others to give it a try next year, it is 30 days of running or walking for at least 30 minutes each day and they give away a lot of great prizes, plus if you complete the challenge you get a $50 store credit. I still have some trails left in the Park to feature so will continue doing posts until they are complete just not everyday. Now time to kick off the holiday season with some Krampus cheer! For those looking to get pictures with Krampus, @strangefellowsbrewing Krampus Market is happening this weekend and you can get your photo taken with Krampus.

Day 29 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, heading south on Iron Knee Trail toward Council Trail. I have been doing my best to feature a different trail each day of the challenge but when running on Iron Knee Trail today, I knew this had to be the photo of the day. Believe me when I say that my crappy photography skills do not do justice to how beautiful it was today on the trails a good day to be a runner. One day left in the challenge.

For those not familiar, we had a tornado rip through the Park back in November 2021, not a common occurrence in a coastal rain forest. Two years later the path of the tornado through the park is still obvious based on the downed trees and the signs.

I wasn't able to get out at lunch today because of meetings so missed the sunshine but did sneak in a quick run just before dark. The days are definitely getting shorter and darkness comes much quicker in the woods, time to start bringing my headlamp on my runs.

Day 25 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, heading north on Douglas Fir trail toward 16th Ave. I was coaching this morning so got a late start to my run but Douglas Fir trail delivered, a picture does not do justice to how beautiful it was on the trails today, easy to run 9 miles with this kind of scenery.

Day 23 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, heading north on Fairview Trail toward University Blvd. There are 33 named trails in the Park and with not many days left in the challenge I had a look at the trail map to see what was close to the office that I could tick off on my lunch time run. Fairview trail jumped out at me, it appears to be the shortest named trail in the Park and I don't think I have ever run on it. The reason for that is because with the new development in that area there is no longer a trail that connects to Fairview trail. Basically the trail just connects Acadia Rd. to University Blvd and it doesn't even do that at the moment because of construction so I did a short out and back to cross it off my list. With the development the trail is now paved but it is a really nice little spot with benches, picnic tables, and a play structure, definitely worth checking out if you are in the neighbourhood.

Day 22 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, heading north on Pioneer Trail toward Chancellor Blvd. Busy day at work, could only squeeze in a quick 4 miles between meetings over lunch.

Day 21 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, heading north on Hemlock Trail toward Imperial Trail. Yesterday I looked skyward and today I looked down because it was new shoe day! Actually, I have had these shoes since the summer of 2022 but I just broke them out of the box today. When I find a shoe I like, I usually buy multiple pairs just in case the newer versions are not as good. I have two other pairs of the @hoka Speedgoat 5's on rotation and they are a great shoe, no complaints.

Day 19 of @caprarunning #capra30x30, Pacific Spirit Regional Park, a little later start to the run for a Sunday. Sam had a game this morning so I was coaching and luckily that meant I missed the rain and was on the trails for the sunshine. Heading north west on S.W. Marine Trail. I really didn't feel like running today and thought I might just do the 30 minutes and call it a day but once I started moving 8 miles went by pretty quickly.
