There is a restaurant close to our house when we used to live in the LA area, and it’s known for the way that they greet their customers when they walk in the front door…

Right when you walk in, the closest employee will yell out, “Hey, where’ve you been?!” And that feeling of warmth and belonging when they yell that out and give you a big smile, makes you feel like you’re back for a really good thing.

Honestly that’s what I thought of when I pulled out my podcast mic to sit and record a NEW EPISODE after a little hiatus – I wanted to give you a little update of where I've been, what I've been up to, and to let you know that we're back and there's gonna be some new episodes rolling out regularly soon!

When you tune into the full episode (it’s a short one!), you’ll hear:

– What I’ve been doing during the last year while the podcast was on a break
– A mention of my favorite - the teeter totter analogy
– How YOU, the listeners of Coffee on Leadership, have helped the brand evolve into what it is today and how you can be a part of the future of the show
– And intro to the ABCs of Leadership Development and how you can have a creative approach to your own leadership growth

You can search “Coffee on Leadership” wherever you get your podcasts, or tap the link in my bio.

Aaaand, hey, how are you? I’m so happy you’re here!

Authentic.
Authenticity.

Some say that these two words are overused in the online space, that they’ve been reduced to buzz or something that many entrepreneurs and leaders think should simply be a part of their bio.

But even if this is partially true, it doesn't change the fact that authentic leadership is required if you want to foster a healthy workplace (and beyond).

So, if you’re ready to brush up on your own authentic style, focus of these four aspects:

→ Self-awareness // Know who you are and what you believe—so that you can uncover weaknesses and perceptual biases.

→ Relational transparency // Use trust and communication to deepen the relationships with the people you’re engaged with in a meaningful way that is honest, true, and right.

→ Balanced processing // Leaders should listen to everyone on the team, they should take in the diverse voices of everyone before acting and making decisions.

→ Strong moral code // Your morals should guide behavior, which should also be consistent with your organizational values and mission.

More on authentic leadership on this week’s episode of Coffee on Leadership, but comment below with one of these four things you can prioritize as you wrap up this week!

School kicked off this week and I can’t believe how much has changed since this time last year.

When I go back in my IG photos, finding these first day pics are my favorite so posting another good one — with my favorite 4th and 2nd graders ❤️

Last weekend we snuck away to Cabo for our anniversary—13 years after we made a stop there on our honeymoon. It’s feels like we said our vows on the farm yesterday and now we are here with a million sweet moments and memories built since.

From beach walks 🌊 to poolside meals and a sunset sail ⛵️while staying at one of the most beautiful resorts in Mexico—the best part was a chance to dream up what’s coming in the next year with @chadwickwick ❤️

Today, I have a challenge for you – a chance to dive deeper into the journey of personal growth and leadership development. Are you ready?

→Think of a situation in recent times when you experienced fear or threat or found yourself squirming in discomfort or embarrassment, a moment that pushed you to the edge of your comfort zone… Can you recall it?

Now, let's flip the narrative. Instead of focusing on the discomfort, let's focus on your response. How did you use bravery and courage in that situation? How did you rise above, even if your knees were trembling?

Remember, courage isn’t the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

We've all had those moments that test and push us beyond our boundaries. They're not comfortable, but boy, do they make us grow!

So grab a cup of your favorite summer drink, find a quiet corner, and take a moment to reflect (and listen to this week’s episode of the podcast) ☕️🎧

Then, hit the comments and share your moments of bravery. We are on this journey together. Let's celebrate our courage and inspire each other! 🎉

Remember, no matter what situation you're facing, you are brave, strong, and a leader.

Remember back in high school or college when group projects were a thing? I don't know about you, but I always made sure to sit next to key people on the days that I knew group assignments would be given out.

I chose to sit next to people I knew who would not only be able to carry their load, but who I knew would bring innovative ideas and intentional work into the project.

Now, shift your thinking to those within your organization. If a group project arose, who would your go-to person be? Who would you choose to lead?

These people are known as impact players, the difference makers.

As great and steadfast as they seem, I'm tasking you with the homework of checkin in on them today because as author Sara Roberts says: "Difference makers can only make a difference if they're enabled and positioned to do so.”

We don't want anyone, much less those that we greatly count on, to be in demand but disengaged.

I'm sharing more on this week's episode of the podcast, tune in today!

Last week on the podcast, we discussed the significance of a leader who sits down with people to talk through passion, purpose, and meaningfulness in their work. Leaders who take the time to connect with their employees and understand their motivations can create a more meaningful work experience, leading to more productive and passionate employees who engage more deeply with their work and stay within the organization.

In today's episode, I am bringing you a quick tool kit with ten essential questions you can ask your employee or co-worker. Pick one or a few that resonate the most and start peeling off the layers of their work to learn why they do what they do.

You’ll hear:

– Why people are passionate about their work
– How people find purpose and meaning in their work
– Wrapping up ten icebreaker questions about meaningful work

🗣️ Don't hesitate to share this valuable knowledge with your multi-passionate, business-minded friends and leaders who want to create a better work environment.

You can listen to the full episode at the link in my bio @coffeeonleadershi or in your favorite podcast app.☕️

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
