quick trip across the pond did me good. the kjm exhibition was incredible, he and his work are such a gift. and i’m still thinking about those lamb chops.

Upstate Art Weekend is among us! Join me tomorrow for a private tour of @goodblackart ’s second summer exhibition, Waiting Room, which invites visitors into an immersive environment where domestic space becomes a site of reflection, care and transformation. Our guide will be Good Black Art Founder, Phillip Collins.

Especially if you’re getting out of the city, I encourage you to enjoy the full day’s programming! From 2-3:30p, there will be a screening of Who’s Behind Black Art, a docu-series directed, written and produced by John Campbell that pulls back the curtain on the lives of emerging artists and features the perspectives of curators, archivists, and cultural workers shaping the art world. Following the screening, from 3:30-4p, will be the tour of the show with Good Black Art founder, Phillip Collins. That will be followed by a book event and signing from 4-6p with Julian Adon Alexander for his debut monograph, Snakes Have Bones, a personal and richly illustrated visual diary of Black youth and daily life.

RSVP link in my bio!

Though I’ve been bracing myself for this loss, I now realize there are some things you just can’t fully prepare for. To know my grandma and her story, from being diagnosed with breast cancer at 35 to her most recent hospitalizations and all the life lived in between, is to know she was the embodiment of strength and resilience. And if I’m honest, there’s a part of me that wanted to believe that she would defy the doctors per usual and stay with us forever. Yet here we are a week or so later, and I still can’t quite wrap my mind around the fact that I’ll never see my Granny again. However, I am arriving at peace in knowing that she is taking her well-deserved rest.

I am so grateful to have been loved uncondionally by her, to have been guided and protected by her, and am proud of the pieces of her that are my inheritance. And my prayer is that she knew how much I loved and cherished her, that she was pleased with who I am and my accomplishments and that she was not worried about leaving us behind because she raised and equipped her family well.

Until we meet again, Granny. I’ll be missing you in the meantime.

I am very easily overwhelmed by texts and DM under normal circumstances, so especially during this season, please don’t take any delayed response personal 🙏🏾. Your prayers, grace and good, strong hugs when you see me are what I appreciate most. 🖤

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
