We are pleased to present Leif Engström’s third solo exhibition at the gallery, 'Blommorna I fönstret'. Since his breakthrough after graduating from the Royal Institute of Art in 2020, Engström has established himself as one of the most prominent artists of his generation.

Opening 26 March 17:00–20:00

Through Leif Engström’s gaze, everyday environments are transformed into mythical places, charged with a sense of melancholy and wonder. Parallel to his depiction of urban landscapes, Engström often portrays interiors with precision and sensitivity to the play of shadow and light. The settings are usually places of significance to the artist, associated with personal memories, or simply domestic scenes where life unfolds. Patterned curtains, painted frames, and ornamentation form important elements in Engström’s compositions, sometimes painted on separate stretchers. Selected for their shape and rhythm, the borders reinforce the motifs and elevate an ordinary scene into something special.

In 'Blommorna I fönstret', foliage and architectural elements are carefully rendered with detailed brushwork. In some works, a few fleeting figures move through the scenes. In Engström’s paintings, the familiar is charged with a particular intensity; small shifts in details and motifs contribute to a visual world where everything seems unpredictable.

Leif Engström (b. in 1992 in Sweden) holds an MFA (2020) from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Solo exhibitions include Jönköpings läns museum (SE), Skellefteå Konsthall (SE), and Rackstadmuseet, Arvika (SE). Group exhibitions include Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde, Nationalmuseum, Moderna Museet, Alma Löv Museum of Unexpected Art, Bonniers Konsthall, and Malmö Art Academy, all in Sweden.

In 2021, Engström received the art scholarship of the Åke Andrén Foundation and the Marianne & Sigvard Bernadotte stipend. In 2023, he was awarded the Edstrandska Foundation Scholarship. Engström is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet, Stockholm konst, Public Art Agency Sweden, Ståhl Collection, Region Dalarna, Region Värmland, and in the collections of the municipalities of Arvika, Sigtuna, Skellefteå, Örebro and Östersund.

We are proud to present Anna-Karin Rasmusson’s second solo exhibition at the gallery, 'Den första färgen'. Rasmusson, who has established herself as one of our most acclaimed video and performance artists, returns with an exhibition in which the colour red plays a crucial role.

Opening Saturday 16 May 12:00–16:00

In Anna-Karin Rasmusson’s video works, painting is central. Everyday tasks are often performed repetitively within scenographies constructed as collages of painted cardboard boxes and boards. Her work explores human interaction, both physical and emotional. The masked characters in her videos—played by herself—engage in somewhat clumsy attempts to support, comfort, and reach out to one another. More broadly, Rasmusson’s expressive, painterly imagery highlights complex feelings of inadequacy, disorientation, and tenderness.

Rasmusson’s new exhibition marks a shift in her practice, placing faith in the image within a chaotic world. In the artists's poetic new videos, narration has almost disappeared, giving way to the image itself—to a painting unperturbed by time. In these works, painting becomes a process of moving colour between different “rooms,” from the subconscious mind to the physical act of creating an image.

Anna-Karin Rasmusson (b. 1983) is based in Stockholm and holds an MFA from the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm (2016). Selected exhibitions and performances include “Kropp. Ideal, blick, frihet” at Göteborgs konstmuseum, Lilith Performance Studio, Malmö, Galleri Box, Göteborg, Bildmuseet, Umeå, Dramaten, Stockholm, and Malmö Konstmuseum. Furthermore, Rasmusson has been exhibiting at CHART Art Fair, Copenhagen, Stockholm School of Economics, Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen, and Konstnärshuset, Stockholm.

Rasmusson is represented in the collections of Moderna Museet, Göteborgs konstmuseum, Malmö Konstmuseum, Public Art Agency Sweden. Awards and scholarships include Stockholm City Cultural Award (2019), the IASPIS Studio Grant in Stockholm (2018), the Bernadotte Grant (2016), awarded by the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Happy Birthday Per! 🌸

Per Wizén works with paper collages built from art historical images deeply embedded in our culture. Thousands of details are literally cut out and constructed into a new whole, making up works closely related to the original image. In this meticulous process, the content of the work shifts in relation to the source, pinpointing hidden meanings and underlying tensions.

For many years Wizén was preoccupied with the Renaissance and Baroque eras. In his ongoing series of works, Per Wizén focuses on Lewis Carroll's novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the many iconic illustrations of the tale. From the original drawings by John Tenniel to Disney’s version of the story, Wizén uses the visual mechanisms and DNA of the original artworks and transfers the material from the past to the contemporary, capturing all layers in between in his fantastical works.

Per Wizén (b. 1966) holds an MFA from Malmö Art Academy. Solo shows include Moderna Museet Malmö in 2022, Cecilia Hillström Gallery, and CHART Art Fair, Copenhagen, in 2019, Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art, Lund in 2014, and Malmö Art Museum in 2008. His work has also been featured in the touring exhibition Diversity United – Contemporary European Art in Berlin and Moscow, Liljevalchs, Stockholm, Amos Rex, Helsinki, Borås Art Museum, Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York, National Museum of Art, Stockholm, Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm, Eskilstuna Art Museum, Turku Art Museum, Åbo, and at Centre Culturel Suédois, Paris, to name a few. He is represented in the collections of Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York, Moderna Museet, Malmö Art Museum, Borås Art Museum, Public Art Agency Sweden, Region Dalarna and Stockholm konst.

Happy Birthday Clay! 🌸

Clay Ketter's work is characterized by an uncompromising clarity, be it painting, sculpture or photographic work. Although following an evolutionary path which appears to be completely logical, Ketter manages to take the viewer by surprise through a skillful combination of content and execution. Early on in his career, Ketter experimented with materials not normally associated with fine art: his Wall Paintings and Trace Paintings challenge the viewer as to the distinction between craftsmanship and art, often succeeding in the refutation of this distinction. Through the years, Ketter's art has evolved around more existential issues. Mankind's futile struggle for protection against natural forces and other inevitabilities can be seen as the thematic backdrop for the photographic series Gulf Coast Slabs and his claustrophobic assemblages of doll's houses. In these traces of human life and deconstruction, Ketter's art is outstanding in its ability to highlight the fragility of our existence.

Clay Ketter (b. 1961 in USA) works in painting, sculpture and photography. Over recent years, Ketter has had solo shows in London, New York, Paris, and Copenhagen, and participated in group shows at Whitechapel Gallery and Saatchi Gallery, London, Lunds konsthall, Artipelag and Norrköpings Konstmuseum. He is represented in numerous international collections such as Saatchi Collection, London, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, Brooklyn Museum, New York, Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, Perez Museum Collections, Miami, Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and Prada Foundation, Milano. In a Nordic context, Ketter’s work is part of the collections at Moderna Museet, Malmö Konstmuseum, Göteborgs konstmuseum, Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art/Skissernas Museum, Lund, Uppsala Konstmuseum, Astrup Fearnley Museet, ARKEN Museum for Moderne Kunst and Louisiana.

Leif Engström | 'Blommorna i fönstret'

The gallery is open today Saturday 12:00 – 16:00. Welcome!

Patterned curtains, painted frames, and ornamentation form important elements in Engström’s compositions, sometimes painted on separate stretchers. Selected for their shape and rhythm, the borders reinforce the motifs and elevate an ordinary scene into something special.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
