25 years ago BCox came to Noontime trying to get on. I don’t even think he could produce songs at that time. He just wanted to be around the music and people who were creating it. So much so he offered to engineer sessions to start the process of aligning with the company. We paid him a little bit of money here and there, and then he had a radical idea! “You don’t have to pay me anymore to engineer just give me studio time in exchange for engineering.” He had a vision for himself. Blessed with church honed piano skillsand with the help and tutelage of @teddyalexanderbishop @jazzepha@kdhguitars and the songwriting of @therealjohntaaustin something amazing happened. He went onto produce, on his own and with his mentor @jermainedupri (🐐#1 on this list), what would be come a soundtrack of a generation. You’ve come a long way BMC!! Proud to have played a small part in this accomplishment and beyond proud of you.

Avon Barksdale had the west side of Baltimore on lock until his partner Stringer lost his way leaving an opening for Marlo to outmaneuver him for the territory. The best TV ever made.

Personally is was a rewarding feeling to help Champ develop and sell his first show as he’d helped me develop and sell mine. @coachk44 @hueyfreemansuncle @qcmceo_p @oronde @michaelc0llins_ all worked together to move the needle on this. Teamwork.
