This is a huge win for the community and really demonstrates what can be achieved when like minded people come together to advocate for representation and visibility of minority groups in the industry.

I first heard Jess'music on an ESEA music RnB/Soul playlist, and Butterflies immediately stood out. After reaching out and pestering for the stems she kindly agreed to let me remix the track...and I am forever grateful. Working with such amazing vocals and lush harmonies was a lot of fun and I'm really happy what we came up with.

Our Sesame Mentorship has been featured on Downtown Music(@downtownholdco )!

Rob Chung, co-lead of ESEA Music’s Sesame Mentorship Initiative, is helping East & Southeast Asian artists and industry professionals thrive in the UK music scene.

Launched in 2023, Sesame pairs mentees with experienced mentors — from managers, producers, and executives to songwriters and artists — to support career growth, creative development, and mental wellbeing.

✨ Highlights so far:
- 7 mentorship rounds completed, with mentees dedicating at least 2 hours/month
- Mentees have released EPs, headlined gigs, and launched businesses
- Mentors include top industry figures like Matt Tong (@tong_of_dorset ), Stacey Tang (@iamstaceytang ), and Emma Cordell
- Hosted the first Sesame Workshop at Point Blank Music School with panels, masterclasses, and industry leaders
- Winner of the DEI Initiative Award at Music Week – Women In Music Awards
- Helping build a legacy of ESEA leaders in UK music, from artists to executives
