📚3X ISSUES (+ FREE POSTAGE)
We’ve got fresh prints of our first two issues alongside our latest release. Pick up a copy now with free postage - see link in bio.
Our Journal brings together poets, artists, essayists, and professional philosophers to explore shared themes through multiple forms - from visual art and poetry to short-form “flash philosophy” and long-form interviews.
🔴 Issue No.1 (Contradiction) launched our inquiry into what it means to think with tension and embrace paradox in its many forms - manifesting as cognitive dissonance, formal logic and its historical rejection of contradiction, the ‘double bind’, and the epistemic status of dreams.
🟢 Issue No.2 (Circularity) tackled cycles of thought, fallacy, and regeneration - featuring work exploring nature, economics, intergenerational relationships, the hermeneutic circle, and metaphysical loops.
🟡 Issue No.3 (Discourse) explores the structures and futures of human conversation - with work on diasporic dreaming, colonial archives, ChatGPT, myth, the evolving form of philosophy, and its hidden history of women and refugee thinkers.

As we grow as a press, we’re carving out space to develop new formats and collaborations across both digital and print publishing. Whilst this means that we will now be publishing our Interdisciplinary Philosophy Journal once per year – with Issue 4, exploring the theme of ‘Interface’ launching November 2025 – we hope that in the meantime, you will enjoy our growing lineup of digital series, exploring contemporary philosophy at the intersections of art, culture, and everyday life:
🪑 The Philosopher’s Desk – where we invite contemporary thinkers to share a candid look at their workspaces, and the ideas that animate them.
📚 Contralytic Library – where we show you what’s on our minds and shelves, reviewing and sharing our many influences.
🗣 Conversations with Contralytic – longform interviews with philosophers reflecting on the past, present, and future of philosophy.
🎨 Art That Argues Back – where we examine and write about art that, like good philosophical argument, challenges our fundamental precepts. (Coming soon).
📕Philosophy Journal Highlights – snapshots from our flagship in-print Interdisciplinary Philosophy Journal, which brings together poets, artists, essayists, and professional philosophers to explore shared themes through multiple forms. This includes: visual art, poetry, short-form “flash philosophy”, and long-form interviews. (Issues can be picked up from our online shop or one of our many international bookstore stockists!).

📚 Contralytic Library – our ongoing glimpse into the books shaping our shelves and our thinking. This month, we’ve been drawn to two very different critiques, each illuminating a distinct pressure point of contemporary life. Bernard Williams’ Truth and Truthfulness challenges the cynics of truth and its value, defending accuracy and sincerity as virtues we cannot afford to lose. In contrast, Ashish Ghadiali Singh’s In Defence of Leisure brings a decolonial and literary critique to psychoanalysis, making a powerful case for leisure as a political, creative, and deeply human necessity. • • • #ContralyticPress #ContralyticLibrary #WhatWeRead

📗 Journal Highlight – Issue No.2 (Circularity)
Why did an academic circle in 20th century Vienna reject their contemporaries metaphysical philosophy? Find out in Issue No.2’s flash philosophy, written by Prof. Gary Kemp.
This piece provides a snapshot of a critical period in the history of 20th century western philosophy, from the positioning of Vienna Circle member Rudolph Carnap’s direct opposition to the (in)famous metaphysical declarations of Martin Heidegger.
To read more on this, alongside a range of other topics and interdisciplinary mediums exploring the theme of ‘Circularity’, pick-up a copy of Issue No.2 from one of our stockists or in our online shop (see bio)!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
