The boot room before footwear became fashion statements. Black leather, no logos, and studs that could crack concrete. This is football heritage.

Arsène Wenger built the Emirates for night like these.

The years of transition, the cost-cutting, the loss of rival players left Gooners wondering if it was worth all the hassle. Wenger himself acknowledged that change was never going to be easy and that the soul of Highbury could never be replicated: “It was a bit like comparing one of those old houses that is no longer fit for purpose, but where we feel totally at home even though the heating does not work properly.”

But Mikel Arteta brought back the fire. On the loudest night in Emirates history the naysayers couldn’t be heard for the chants of “49, 49 Lewis-Skelly”. Every Gyokeres pass was cheered like a goal.

It was fitting that the last player to leave the field last night was the Hale End boy who Arsène would’ve loved to coach more than any other player. He fell to his knees on the turf that Wenger laid after achieving something that even the great man couldn’t dream of.

“Once again, the future belongs to the next generations, the page has turned and today, with extremely healthy finances and renewed ambition, the supporters are proud of their stadium. Most of all, I had knitted myself a soul in red and white.” - Arsène Wenger, 2022

FC Thun’s fairytale ending came true over the weekend. The newly promoted side are now Swiss Super League champions.

This has to be one of football’s greatest ever underdog stories. After five years in the second tier, they’ve reached the Swiss football peak with largely the same squad that got them promoted 12 months ago.

No training ground, a 10,000-seater stadium with artificial grass, and a squad valued at £13 million. And the Champions League playoffs beckon. The kind of story that the beautiful game is all about.

Saudi designer Nora Al Shaikh picked Al-Nassr’s game against Al-Ahli to launch her new adidas collection. It celebrates supporters who engage with football culture on their own terms and could redefine matchday attire for many in the region.

Nora Al Shaikh: “I was seeing more women fully immersed in the stands, the atmosphere, and the wider football culture. Their presence was mostly expressed with props like flags or scarves, there wasn’t actual fanwear designed for how they could dress. That stayed with me and led me to bring this idea to life and create something that truly resonates with them.”

When fandom and fashion overlap, innovation pushes the whole community forward.

On a Wednesday night in July 2011, a closely packed Vila Belmiro hosted Santos and Flamengo and at the heart of it all the old and new. Neymar Jr and Ronaldinho.

Santos opened the score at 5 minutes through their striker Borges, who would score another in the 16th minute from a Neymar pass.

In the 26th minute a moment of brilliance from Neymar, gliding through the Flamengo players to score what would become the Puskas winning goal that year.

3-0 up 25 minutes in. Game over right?

“Wrong.” said Ronaldinho (probably)

Two minutes later Dinho would respond with a goal of his own taking advantage of a goalkeeping error.

And shortly after that, a Ronaldinho corner would be met by Flamengo’s Deivid to equalise before half time. 3-3

But the break didn’t spoil the momentum one bit.

It took Santos 3 mintues before taking the lead, again, through Neymar, again, as he grabbed his second, 4-3

But then Ronaldinho decided to make a statement.

Scoring a low driven free kick in the 66th minute before bagging the winner 13 minutes later, finishing the historic match up 5-4 for Flamengo and completing his Hattrick.

“He (Ronaldinho) was a legendary player and was able to shine. But at the same time I was starting my career and was able to shine with him.” Neymar Jr

The 2030 World Cup might just be the best combination of cities and stadiums we’ve ever seen... and might ever see.

As long as you pack yourself a decent supply of sun cream, you simply can’t go wrong. Start saving now; make the away day of your dreams a reality.

Last weekend, OFI Crete won their first trophy in 39 years.

So of course, O Ómilos and their fans threw a party as only Cretans can. Knocking aside the traditional giants of Athens and Thessaloniki to win a trophy is more than deserving of celebration. The atmosphere inside Panthessaliko Stadium after the win was already next level, but the matchday parade was pure Cretan passion. Next stop, the Europa League play-offs.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
