INJURY UPDATE: Wacey Schalla’s surgery was successful after sustaining a broken femur during a hang-up at the Music City Rodeo, according to Justin Sportsmedicine Team’s Rick Foster.

Schalla is expected to return home tomorrow and is currently facing an estimated recovery timeline of three months.

Despite not getting a win in Nashville, Wright still walked away with a big payday. He finished 2nd in the saddle bronc (89.5) and T-3rd in the bull riding (85.5), collecting $11,887 in little more than an hour at the Music City Rodeo on Saturday night. Wright has now won just over $250,000 between the two events in 2026.

Three barrel horses, including Hailey Krahenbuhl's Sully, were stabbed at a barrel racing event in Las Vegas early Saturday, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

A teenage girl has been arrested in the incident, police said. The National Barrel Horse Association, which was hosting its Professional's Choice Vegas Super Show at the South Point Casino, confirmed the suspect was competing in the event.

Krahenbuhl on social media said her horse Sully "was stabbed multiple times" but was "stitched up" and recovering.

Police said three horses in total were injured, but that none of the injuries were life-threatening. The teen suspect "may have used a knife to inflict multiple injuries to the horses," according to a police statement.

The suspect, whose name is not being released since she is a juvenile, was taken to juvenile jail on numerous charges.

Foster confirmed that Schalla suffered a midshaft femur fracture in his upper leg after getting hung up on his bull ride at the Music City Rodeo on Saturday night. Schalla was expected to have surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center on Sunday morning.
