Come celebrate the release of Smileswithteeth's self-titled album on WEDNESDAY at 7PM!

Smileswithteeth (@smileswithteeth ) is the musical project of Los Angeles-born, New York-based composer Gabriel Gutierrez. He will be joined by Samantha Kochis (@samantha_kochis ), a Brooklyn-based flutist, improviser, and composer who explores various creative environments as an artist of experimental music.

SOUNDWRDS brings language artists & musicians together in interactive performance. This evening will include a poetic and sonic reconfiguration of feminist Rebecca Solnit’s recent essay on the siege of Minneapolis and an ensemble revoicing of a Randee Silv wordslab, plus more surprises.

With Bushwick Book Club founder Susan Hwang (@soozee3) (voice), Dafna Naphtali (@dafnalula) (voice & electronics), On Ka'a Davis (@on.davis) (guitar), Claire deBrunner (@freebssn) (bassoon), Westbrook Johnson (trombone) and patrick brennan (@patrickbrennansound) (coordinator, composer & saxophone).

Join us for the last of DADA’s monthly stream-of-consciousness creative workshops until fall! 🧠

We encourage all writers, illustrators, painters and thinkers to gather and let go of any mainstream notions in the spirit of creating spontaneously & unplanned in the moment.

For writers, together we will invite you to create poems or focus on building fictional characters in a story by honing the intricate craft of capturing a character's thoughts and emotions as they naturally occur in the mind by listening to the inner voice and strengthening our intuition. Painters, illustrators and designers will be inspired and guided to create improvised impulse-fueled art.

Stellar jazz vocalist, Ha Do, brings her quartet to DADA this SUNDAY!🎵🎤
