10th official marathon, 8th consecutive Los Angeles Marathon, and a couple unofficial lil weird ones in the mix, and this one was maybe the hardest.

Felt pretty good, cruising to a good time, until I turned a street corner at mile 10 and the sun hit me in a way that told me in no uncertain terms that today was not the day to try to hit a PR. Luckily that gave me permission to slow down, stop with friends, take my time at the cheer stations, drink a beer, and even though my body was about to become a pillar of salt, enjoy the next 16 miles.

I feel like I stole this from someone a long time ago, but I always tell people the race is the fun part. The training, the waking up at 5am every Saturday for 18 weeks, that’s the real struggle. I’m so proud of everyone, but especially my big dogs at @eaglerockrunclub who stuck it through a tough day and did it all with joy.

Big thank you to the best wife in the world, @cajohns, for putting up with “husband who gets into marathons and also starts a run club in his 30s sorry this is his new personality now!!!”

Also a huge thank you to the people who helped make the whole ERRC marathon weekend what it was.

@tomhasttheruns and @shaneee_lewis took charge of the cheer station and @emmatangerine helped run the after party. I can’t tell you how much that means to me! Also, rumor is that @emlytptn is the loudest cheer zoner? Someone please confirm

To the cheer zone, bless you, thank you, I needed you!

Huge thanks to @mariachizapopanla and @bartscarts for keeping the cheer zone alive all morning with tunes and hot dogs.
And special thanks to @nicolescruggs_, @jackgilbert_, and @richmorrisss at ON for continuing to support our band of weirdos and saying yes to almost all of my weirdest ideas. I spent your money on a Hot Dog cart and I’m not sorry about it.

To @maximilianguerrero and @theoinkster for hosting our shakeout run and letting us set up a large scale shoe installation in your parking lot, to @siwin for the flash tattoos, and to @chifa_la for hosting the after party.

It’s Monday, my legs hurt, but everything feels nice.

These are some of my favorite shots from the incredible @xeniaalexandra_

Had the pleasure of crewing the @eaglerockrunclub TSP Secrets team as they traversed 480 miles from Santa Monica to the Las Vegas sign, taking the long way in more ways than one.

Having run this race before (not the long way), I only vaguely knew what I was getting into. I couldn’t be more proud of our runners and support crew for moving through the weirdest and most desolate parts of California and Nevada with joy in their hearts.

I was lucky enough to see the stars of Death Valley without a light in sight, share some miles with Alex, Tom, Shane, and Nicole (who paced me to a barf mile, in a good way), and see the sunrise at Badwater Basin.

I love these people. I love running outside with my friends. I couldn’t be prouder of them. I said more on the @eaglerockrunclub post, so go there for my bonus sappiness.

Thanks to @nicolescruggs and @ON for supporting this team, and making sure everyone looked so good.

First photo by @hudsonratz, the rest by @steadyarchives, except for the last one by @hudsonratz again.

My friends are running from Santa Monica to Vegas this weekend, and they’re letting me tag along and help them out where I can.

Very stoked for this group of weirdos to bring our certain brand of “running around” to the desert.

A few years ago, I made a wish on a monkey’s paw that I wanted to watch Jackass movies in my favorite theater with my favorite people, and the only catch was that I had to run a marathon the week before.

I’m about to LinkedIn-max on this post, but the 6th Used-to-be-biannual-Now-Just-reglary-annual Walt’s To The Sea this past Saturday, so you know I have to sincerity-mog my friends.

Los Angeles can feel big and scary sometimes, but there’s something about running 20 miles to the ocean that really makes it all feel a little more connected, and its a lot easier when you’re doing it with your buds.

Thanks to all of the pace leaders for getting a bunch of weirdos from Eagle Rock to Venice in one piece.

Thanks to @nicolescruggs_ , @chuck_wurzer , @adamklein7 and @ON for helping make the whole thing possible
Thanks to @gabbymakespictures and @emlytptn for taking charge of aid and Xenia transport
Thanks to the world class photographer in @xeniaalexandra_ for taking some absolutely insane shots
And not to mention @drinkpulo and @gjelinarestaurant for the after-run pizza and coffee

Now, all we have to worry about is the Marathon. Should be chill! More surprises coming from @eaglerockrunclub

At first I loved the Magic Lamp Inn in Rancho Cucamonga and then I found out that it was my grandma’s favorite restaurant and now I would die for the Magic Lamp Inn

Shot on the Olympus XA2 that @cajohns got me for Christmas and I’m still trying to figureout

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
