A few years ago I was mastering the music for (at the time) the new “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends” show for Disney. If you have kids (or have walked past the toy isle at Target), you know it. I remember thinking, “Man, this rocks wayyyy harder than it has any right to. And that vocalist sounds familiar...”. Then I found out the composer/performer is Patrick Stump, lead singer of Fall Out Boy.

Patrick’s latest track for the new season of Spidey is awesome. Check it out and tell me the chorus isn’t stuck in your head for the rest of the day. 🎸🎶

It’s always an honor to work on music for Marvel properties. And most importantly, it has my daughter thinking I’m much cooler than I actually am. 😉🕸️

A little Thriller, as performed by the ghost that haunts me. 👻 Or my player piano. 🎹

The piano works by building up a vacuum, using bellows that are driven by pedals or electric power.

A paper roll is pulled over a metal bar with a row of punch holes, as seen here. The speed the paper is pulled equates to tempo.

If there’s a hole in a paper, air is sucked through, and that results in a key depression/hammer down (being overly simplistic).
