Our baby is 1!
When Maggie was around 10 months old, I realized that she had become somebody. She had started sleeping through the night and I was able to see clearly again. See her clearly. A mischievous baby. Eager to make us laugh. Unfazed by the word no.
I can’t wait to see her become more herself ❤️

In 1993, my mom took this photograph of me, my sister, and my dad in New York. She printed two copies. It’s one of my favorite photos of my immediate family, with my mom behind the camera. My archivist.
In 2026, I took one of those copies and hand-embroidered a phrase my mom used to console me with as a child.
