Cold Plunge is a personal portrait series by photographer Ross Jarman (@ross.jarman) Photographed over the past few years, Ross has documented wild swimmers in freezing lakes and rivers across the north of England.

For this set of images we spend time with Claire who braves an iced over lake. Ross beautifully captures the mental resilience it takes to taking the cold plunge and the joy it brings to those who take the leap into the ice cold waters.
