We are also healing, organizing, and creating new paths forward together. We welcomed three more families arriving back from Minnesota, New York, and California. 🤝🏽❤️

Big update about ICE Out legislation in California!

This week, two key bills NDLON is endorsing advanced out of the Appropriations Committees in both the state Assembly and Senate!

SB 1103 — REPAIR Act
Authored by Senator Perez and sponsored by NDLON, SB1103 creates transparency requirements to make sure big box home improvement stores- like Home Depot and Lowe’s- come clean about immigration raids happening at their stores.

AB 1537 — No Side Jobs for ICE
Authored by Assembly Member Bryan and championed by the statewide ICE Out Of California coalition, AB1537 prohibits local and state police and sheriffs from taking “side jobs” supporting or advancing immigration enforcement.
