A second time catching David Beckham on set in Autumn 2025, this time with Kevin Hart during their SharkNinja ad campaign (I was recording for Reuters only for this quick-fire sit-down interview, like literally under 10 minutes with them)
I like how when the commercial and socials sound teams met me, they were like ‘oh, another sound person again?’ though we know it can be the common jazz 😆 We all coincidentally were on Wisycom systems, so they very graciously let me use the lav mics already on David and Kevin, and their plotted frequencies when the time came. Luke had already setup and trialed a stream before using most of his kit, so I was left in charge of radio/stick mics gain and coordination settings for the stream, and making them all work on the venue’s console and PA against bouncy acoustics (which thankfully all turned out fine in the end!), while Luke is the head of the cameras and stream.
