Simple forms mark our design round-up this week, kicking off with the made-to-order Side Table 001 (Slide 2) from Barcelona’s Mesura in a smooth green lacquered MDF. A new classic comes from Swedish lighting brand Wästberg and is designed by Sir David Chipperfield. The portable w241 Faro hybrid lamp (Slide 3)  is produced in various tasteful colours and has a smart brushed aluminium option. It’s also now available to buy after launching earlier this year. Something a bit more robust can be appreciated in the handsomely rounded timber body of Zanat’s Bunna Chair (Slide 4), designed by Japan’s Naoto Fukasawa. It features a delicately hand-carved seat shaped in Bosnia. Finishing up well-rounded, it’s incredible to believe that the Colonna tableware set from Ginori 1735 was designed 70 years ago by maestro Gio Ponto’s model maker Giovanni Gariboldi in 1954. However, we’re glad it’s still available to buy in the guise of the (Slide 5) Colonna Re-Edition.

I hadn’t planned on making this an all-metal special, but Alessi’s unusual campaign for the wonderful Michael Anastassiades (Slide 2) Menhir espresso maker piqued my interest for similarly sleek pieces. Staying in the kitchen, look out for Korean Craft & Design where ‘banggja’ (Slide 3) hand-forged brassware eating utensils are available alongside other offerings from Jong Duk Lee. Trend experts say shiny metal furniture is all the rage these days, but I’m more interested in raising the funds for this reissue of an almost century-old (Slide 4) Svenskt Tenn Pot Paradiset planter with a decorative relief designed by Nils Fougstedt in 1928. Sadly, saving money for shiny Swedish planters means no plane for me this year to Copenhagen’s 3 Days of Design. I did spot these lovely (Slide 5) solid brass bronze door handles online, launched at the event by BRANDT Collective and designed by Norm Architects. Speaking of planes, I’m also waiting for a quote for a brilliantly repurposed (Slide 6) airline trolley from Bangkok’s Elements Eden, a super novel storage solution.

After launching the successful Frame dining table, John Pawson’s new (Slide 2) Frame Low table is the most magnificently minimal design we’ve seen in a long time. It is crafted by timber masters Nikari in Finland in oak and ash. It’s a coffee table so fine that we decided to devote the rest of the round-up to nice things to complement it (rather than compete with it) in the home. First up is this beautiful new (Slide 3) A24 Screenplay Books Series, published by MACK and available in the US (Europe in September); it uses tasteful colour tones and sharp typographic design to differentiate photo-led storytelling of some of our favourite indie films. The (Slide 4) ‘Anymals’ card game provides something a bit more fun in print-form for kids and design-loving grown-ups to play atop a nice timber coffee table. First created by legendary graphic designer Ken Garland, Portugal’s Architoys has re-issued the create-your-own-creature concept, aided by Studio Andrew Howard. Our final playful piece is just for the adults, but the (Slide 5) ES17 - Corkscrew by Ettore Sottsass from 1989 is a universally beloved work of design, which is part of the recently updated Twergi collection, available now.

For those like me who enjoy a frosty beer, nothing is more elegant to crack a cold one with than this new (Slide 2) Prise Bronze Bottle Opener from Sydney. Using the centuries-old technique of lost wax casting it’s another fine and handy creation from Henry Wilson. While a (Slide 3) hand-painted Neo Lobmeyr glass from Austria might be too precious to pour your Fosters into, these eye-catching pieces available from Abask and Monocle’s Merano Shop are designed by Martino Gamper and deserve pride in place in your kitchen. Another semi-transparent beauty is this (Slide 4) fine glass and granite stone table, tailored by Sabine Marcelis for a project with Reflect Architecture in Canada. Look out for Marcelis’ new releases with Vitra next week, as she unveils a refresh of the VitraHaus Loft in Basel.

Those looking to refresh their abode should explore the fantastic colour shades made possible by the new Danish paint brand and ‘colour house’ (Slide 5) Blēo - with tones chosen by legends including Marcelis, John Pawson, Industrial Facility and (as pictured) David Chipperfield. The packaging is also superb. To round up this weekly round-up, Abask has increased its range of (Slide 6) lacquered, Eco-friendly ‘Ottchil’ timber bowls from Korean craft talent Suk Keun Kang.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
