Accessible design starts with listening: it’s not rocket science, but it’s also something easily forgotten or ignored. However, its impact reaches further than most people realize.

For #GlobalAccessibilityAwarenessDay, we’re reflecting on how user-centered design shapes spaces that support restoration, focus, belonging, and community resilience.

As Global Design Leader Tim Ganey, AIA, DBIA, shares, “Users are the experts on themselves, and the design process starts with a conversation involving everyone. It's about creating and defining the puzzle together, rather than rushing in to solve a problem.”

That’s the power of designing with people, not just for them.

In conversation with @ArchDaily, Global Leader of Equity, Diversity, and Belonging Jessica Bantom, Interior Designer Sammy Rupp, and Global Design Leader Tim Ganey, discuss how listening helps define the right challenges before solutions are proposed.

Here’s your first impression of Evergreen Valley College in San Jose, California.

This new Student Services Complex creates an inclusive front door for students, staff, and visitors while bringing essential services into a more visible and supportive environment.

Strategically located at the primary entry point to campus, the complex reshapes the first impression of EVC and its commitment to student success while helping shape the college’s next chapter.

#ModelMonday: Central Washington University’s Arts Education Complex

Future-ready arts education is anchored by space that connects people, disciplines, and ideas.

At @central_washington_university, the Arts Education Complex concept reimagines aging, siloed Art+Design and Family and Consumer Science facilities as one interdisciplinary hub for creative education.

Our design concept co-locates these programs to support collaboration across disciplines and ways of making. Program “neighborhoods” are organized around specific learning needs, while a shared double-height atrium framed in exposed mass timber creates the social heart of the building.

The result is a more open, adaptable environment where student work, collaboration, and creative exchange are visible every day.

A concrete river: the graceful curves of the Red Deer River that flows through Alberta, Canada, was an inspiration for the design of the Red Deer Justice Centre. Coupled with the influence of the community’s Indigenous peoples, the entire building is designed for restoration, healing, and cultural respect.

The courtroom’s central space mirrors the medicine wheel, a sacred symbol and teaching tool employed by Indigenous cultures. The space is augmented with special ventilation to aid with ceremonial smudging.

Designed for a 40-year lifespan, the LEED Gold justice center integrates durable materials, high-performing building systems, virtual hearing infrastructure, and enhanced accessibility features – all together making it easier to maintain over time.

Study mode ➡️ rooftop reset

Hub Bloomington is designed around the full rhythm of student life. Steps from Indiana University Bloomington, Hub Bloomington turns off-campus housing into a connected student experience, where focus, movement, restoration, and social life all have a place.

Designed in partnership with @corespaces, this nine-story community development draws from Hoosier spirit, Indiana limestone, historic athletic culture, and the everyday rhythm of campus life. Study niches and library-inspired lounges create space to lock in. Rooftop retreats, a resort-style pool deck, and activated social zones make room to reset and connect.

Tap into a new era of student living.

Research doesn’t happen in silos. So why should the building?

Vanderbilt University’s new Stevenson Center 6 is designed to bring science, engineering, and discovery closer together.

Building on a collaboration with Vanderbilt University that began in 2018 through strategic campus planning, we’re leading the design of a 200,000+ SF interdisciplinary research facility located between Central Campus and the Historic Core.

Groundbreaking is expected in summer 2026, with completion planned for 2028.

DLR Group is providing architecture, engineering, interiors, laboratory planning, campus planning, and sustainability services alongside @hopkinsarchitects, @thorntontomasetti, Centric Architecture, AEI Inc., @hawkinspartners, @bargecivil, @jedunnconstruction, and @casellainteriors.

New conference. New expectations. New home base.

After joining the Big 12 Conference for the 2023-2024 season, the @universityofhouston set its sights on the next era of Cougar football.

The new UH Memorial Hermann Football Operations Center is built to support that leap. From hydrotherapy and sports medicine to team dining, locker rooms, meeting spaces, and student-athlete lounges, every space supports how athletes prepare, recover, and build connection.
Swipe through for a look inside.

How do you bring a 1927 landmark back to life for today’s audiences?

For #PreservationMonth, we’re spotlighting @carolinatheatreclt, a historic venue in uptown Charlotte, NC, that went dormant for a time before being reimagined as a cultural cornerstone.

In collaboration with @fftcarolinas, our design restores the theater’s historic presence while introducing a new lobby addition conceived as a public piazza. Extending into the street, the addition frames the restored façade as a sculptural centerpiece and creates a stronger connection between the city and the experiences inside.

From civic conventions to live entertainment, the renewed Carolina Theatre shows how preservation can create new ways for a community to gather, connect, and look ahead.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories.
