On Thursday, February 19, the Denton Civic Center will host legendary bassist Chuck Rainey, who will be discussing his career working with Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, and more. The event is free and open to the public, and it would be great to have a big Denton turnout!

The UNT Department of History presents a rare public conversation with Chuck Rainey, one of the most influential session musicians in popular music. Moderated by Rod C. Taylor, the event will explore Rainey’s groundbreaking work with artists including Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, Quincy Jones, Roberta Flack, and Donny Hathaway.
