More than 1 in every 5 children in Colombia were subjected to technology-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse in just one year, according to new #DisruptingHarm research presented during yesterday’s press conference in Bogotá by @ECPAT @INTERPOL_HQ @SafeOnline and @UNICEFInnocenti.

Over a third of children never told anyone, because they didn’t know where to go or who to tell, or felt ashamed and blamed themselves.

Preventing and addressing this violence requires:
🟣 tackling stigma and harmful stereotypes that keep victims silent.
🟣 equipping families, schools, and professionals to support children without blame or judgement
🟣 ensuring safe, accessible reporting and support for all children

We’re putting the spotlight on some of our favourite picks from Beyond Game Jam: BiasBreakers!

Today’s featured game is: Beyond the Scene

Click. Adjust the frame. Look closer. Then look again.

Beyond the Scene is an atmospheric visual narrative game that represents the fragmented scenes of different forms of women's labour. Within the home and beyond it, women continuously carry out the work that sustains everyday life, yet these contributions are often undervalued and unseen by society.

As the player, you are invited to recognise and witness what often goes unnoticed.

🇲🇪 This young person’s experience reflects what many children in #Montenegro face online.

New #DisruptingHarm findings show that exposure to unwanted sexual content is one of the most common forms of technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation and abuse.

It often begins with unsolicited sexual messages or grooming on social media – and can escalate into coercion, blackmail, or further exploitation. Many children do not recognise this as abuse, and most never tell anyone about it.

These findings highlight the need to shift responsibility away from children and onto the strength of protection systems.

In just one year, over 1 in 10 children in #Montenegro were subjected to technology-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse.

New #DisruptingHarm research reveals that this abuse is often hidden, normalized, and frequently carried out by someone the child already knows.

Most children never tell anyone, and many face stigma, blame, and limited access to support when they do.

Keeping children #safeonline requires coordinated action including:

🟣closing legal gaps,
🟣requiring safer-by-design and stronger accountability from tech sector,
🟣 equipping parents and schools to support children without stigma or blame when they disclose abuse
🟣and investing in child-centred protection and justice systems.

We're so excited to have partnered with Discord to develop resources that support teen safety, promote healthier forms of masculinities, and create gender inclusive digital communities.

Behind this partnership is the core belief that online communities play a vital role among teens, especially in encouraging connections, building identities, and navigating support.

And the best kinds of communities are those that are intentionally built for safety, inclusivity, and healthy engagement.

We're here to support those small but meaningful shifts, and we can't wait to share what we've been working on together.

Watch out for more updates about this collaboration!

Sport is all about bringing people together across borders, languages, and cultures.

The FIFA World Cup is coming, and with it, a chance for all of us to be on the team protecting children from sexual exploitation.

Major events like this increase the risk. But they also increase our collective power to prevent sexual exploitation.

On International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, be part of the team 👉 https://bit.ly/WeProtectChildren

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
