#GoodNewsOfTheWeek 🥳Public pressure stops national voter-suppression bill!
The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act would have prevented millions of Americans from being able to vote, but thanks to public pressure and the efforts of select senators, it’s dead for now. Laura Williamson, senior policy advisor at the Southern Poverty Law Center, said, “We are grateful to every senator who stood firm against it. To every American who called, wrote and organized to make their voice heard, thank you — your voice matters.”
We agree with Laura, your voice is powerful, and thanks to those who spoke up, millions will keep their right to vote. Now go forth and vote like democracy depends on it, because it does!

#GoodNewsOfTheWeek 🥳 Chicago Public Schools student IDs now double as library cards!
Chicago just turned every public school ID into a library card, giving 315,000 students instant access to books , online resources, research databases, and academic support across 81 Chicago Public Library branches. This initiative provides resources to people facing the greatest barriers to education, such as foster, undocumented, and unhoused youth. Mayor Brandon Johnson said, “With this expansion, every student — no matter their ZIP code, school enrollment or their age, will have access to library cards and programs and resources that make their lives more enriched.” What a huge win for equity all across Chicago!
This service is provided through interagency collaboration between Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Public Libraries, facilitated by The 81 Club. Thank you to everyone who worked together to make this win possible! When young people can access information freely, they are empowered to make informed decisions about their lives. We hope other cities take note and follow Chicago’s example!

#GoodNewsOfTheWeek 🥳Montana Supreme Court rules that its constitution protects trans citizens from discrimination!
On April 13th, Montana’s supreme court declared in a landmark 5-2 ruling that transgender discrimination is sex discrimination. This means that transgender people have a fundamental right to be themselves, including changing their gender markers on drivers licenses and birth certificates. The court also ruled that transgender Montanans are a suspect class, meaning any laws targeting them must meet the highest level of judicial scrutiny, a standard most anti-trans laws can’t survive.
This is a huge win for bodily autonomy and the right to be seen as we truly are! Justice Baker said, “when a person is forced to carry and display a government identification document that does not match who they look like or how they present themselves, this dishonors their dignity,” and we couldn’t agree more.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
