The future has always had a knack for hiding in plain sight—in a 450-square-foot Chelsea studio, say, or a bronze foundry in Milan, or a sun-drenched California hillside built by hand. This month, we went looking for it with our inaugural Rising Stars list, celebrating the next generation of interior designers, artists, architects, and makers changing the way we live. We found them everywhere—as we tend to.

On our cover, designer William Cullum (@jwcullum)—a Thomas Jayne alum who recently launched his own firm—turns a classic Emery Roth studio into a jewel box of personal mythology (see: a @jodymorlock mural stitched with alligators and evil eyes and a gold-tiled bathroom channeling Diana Ross–era Chelsea). He shares it with his partner @jbrhodes00 and their cat Leopold, and not a single surface is wasted.

Inside the issue, Milan-based artist @osannavisconti brings her bronze sorcery stateside for the first time. @communedesign builds a rugged, artisan-made hideaway in California. Designer @ruppstudio makes his Elle Decor debut inside an I.M. Pei landmark, and a new wave of private clubs proves that hospitality is having a big design moment. We also ask the important questions: Does a room have an age? What's the new frontier for natural stone? Can a dog bed be genuinely beautiful? (It can.) These are the names to know and the ideas already in motion. We see the future, and it looks very good. 🔮

Collector Alexandra Marshall saw a François-Xavier Lalanne frog at Artcurial in Paris in the 1980s and had one thought: make it a fountain. “Well, if you can make a toilet, you can probably turn the frog into a fountain, yes?” she asked the artist. The answer was yes. Now those four bronze frogs (and their spitting mouths) are heading to @christiesinc with a $2.5–$3.5M estimate. At the link in our bio, @brea.anaya has the exclusive details.

When Roman Alonso of @communedesign renovated this 1959 ranch home in West Marin, he sourced as locally as possible—the wood was salvaged from the region, the furniture made by area craftsmen, the blankets woven in a San Francisco studio. "It breathes the spirit of Northern California, because it is made from it," he says. At the link in our bio, senior editor @annie.goldsmith takes us inside, as seen in our May 2026 Issue.

"This was a rare opportunity and freedom for me to establish the overall narrative of the house from a blank canvas," @nashmitarajiah tells ELLE Decor of this newly built Athens home—all 23,500 square feet of it. She was working from London, navigating a language barrier, and taking on one of the largest projects of her career. The finished interior, layered with color and hand-painted murals and custom furniture at every turn, is the a home that makes the difficulty feel worth it. Take a toura t the link in our bio.

For designer @ruppstudio, this Manhattan apartment reflects the way he approaches every commission: beginning with the emotional experience of a space rather than with a fixed style. “I think of design as storytelling,” he says. “There’s a narrative to how someone enters a room, spends time there, and remembers it afterward. At the link in our bio, @williamlinyc takes us inside, as seen in our May 2026 Issue.

The brief from the homeowners of this Athens home was clear: bold color, layered pattern, and rooms that felt personal. It was designer @nashmitarajiah's job to honor that vision across 23,500 square feet without it becoming cacophonous. Her answer was consistency—not in color or pattern, which vary wildly from room to room, but in tone, proportion, and the way materials speak to each other throughout the house. "Each room has its own mood," she says, "but there is a deliberate rhythm." At the link in our bio, @julietizon takes us inside.

When London-based designer @nashmitarajiah was brought on to design a newly built home in Athens, the project came with an unusual kind of freedom: 23,500 square feet still under construction, clients she already knew and trusted, and a blank canvas at a scale she'd never worked at before. She took it. What followed was two and a half years of hand-painted murals, primary-colored rooms, and carefully calibrated maximalism. At the link in our bio, @julietizon takes us inside.

Furniture designer @maxidny and @withkro, a stylist and content creator, have treated every space they've shared, from Bali to Sag Harbor to Southampton, as design laboratories. Their SoHo apartment is the fullest expression of that, including a basement full of prototypes, paintings, and original plaster models from 'A Clockwork Orange,’ plus a ground floor anchored by a 3,000-pound marble table that Maximilian designed. "The apartment never looks the same," Maximilian says. "Every two or three weeks the space has a different change to it." At the link in our bio, @julia.cancilla takes us inside.

@hannahtraore takes us inside Louis Vuitton’s Cruise show at the Frick—from her Sunday fitting to the welcome dinner at Chez Fifi to a front-row seat as models climbed the grand staircase in Keith Haring–referenced looks. The @hannahtraoregallery founder and director had just returned from a week that included the Venice Biennale, a London visit, and a Skidmore board meeting, and spent show day fielding Zoom calls and customs forms before doing her own hair and makeup. At the link in our bio, @meg.wahn brings us behind the scenes with Traore as she walks us through The Frick’s newly restored halls, the sculptural black two-piece she chose on the spot, the no-phone afterparty at Maxime’s, and more.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
