Nature is magic. ✨
I wanted to witness that magic up close, so I bought milkweed plants and raised 11 monarch butterflies from egg to release. Watching them transform from tiny caterpillars into butterflies ready to fly away was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced. Seeing metamorphosis happen right in front of me made me appreciate the beauty and wonder of nature on such a deeper level, and I’m so grateful I got to witness it.
Monarch butterfly populations are declining, so if you have the time and proper resources, I highly recommend learning about them and researching how to safely raise and release them. I learned so much throughout this experience and gained such a deeper appreciation for these incredible beings. Monarchs can lay hundreds of eggs in their lifetime, so I hope the butterflies I raised will go on to bring many more beautiful monarchs into the world. 🦋✨

As part of a new outreach program, we invited people to watch a short video exposing cage-free practices and engaged them in conversations about how “cage-free” is just another industry label designed to make people feel better about supporting animal exploitation and suffering. From there, we broadened the conversation to all other animals, encouraged everyone to go vegan, and gave away free JUST Egg products.
Cage-free is not cruelty-free. It just creates different forms of misery.
Battery-cage and cage-free egg sales fund the same egg industry that selectively breeds hens to lay over 300 eggs a year, kills male chicks right after birth because they can’t lay eggs, and ultimately sends all hens to slaughter.
Cage-free egg sales are not reducing battery-cage egg sales. Both are growing simultaneously and sales are funding the same industry.
I wish vegan activists would stop advocating for this and use our collective power to oppose all animal exploitation. It’s a much better use of time and energy to help people go vegan.

Little bits from Belém, Brazil! 💙
🌎
I still can’t believe I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil with fellow vegan animal rights activists and stand up for animals on such a global stage. It was an absolute honor, and I’ll carry those memories with me forever. Thank you to @ashlovesmongo, @miaegata and @reellooksbybrittany for diligently working to make sure we maximized our efforts while we were there and for making this an unforgettable experience!
🌎
PETA protested COP30 in Belém, Brazil, which is located in the heart of the Amazon, alongside Brazilian actor and animal rights activist @luisamell, who was body-painted as a scorched “Mother Earth” to expose how eating animals fuels fires and the climate catastrophe. COP30 hypocritically destroyed parts of the very rainforest it tells the world to protect to construct its event hub, which is outrageously sponsored by JBS, the world’s largest meat producing company and one of the biggest contributors to emissions and deforestation. How does that make ANY sense?!? 🤯
🌎
Our demonstration received widespread media coverage and our presence made one thing impossible to ignore: we can’t fight the climate catastrophe while feeding the crisis, and the most effective way to combat it is by going vegan!

Our demonstration received widespread media coverage and our presence made one thing impossible to ignore: we can’t fight the climate catastrophe while feeding the crisis, and the most effective way to combat it is by going vegan!
The U.N. has acknowledged repeatedly that a global shift away from animal agriculture is essential to slowing the climate catastrophe and eradicating global hunger, so WHY is JBS (the world’s largest meatpacking company) allowed to be the biggest sponsor of @cop30nobrasil?! 🤯😡
Repost @peta:
A climate summit serving meat and dairy…AND sponsored by @nossajbs the biggest meat producer on Earth?? Be so for real @cop30nobrasil. You can’t save the planet while cashing checks and serving up meat from the ones killing it 🥴

#cop30 @peta @officialpetalatino

Over the past weeks I’ve taken a much-needed break from social media, but today felt like a good day to make a post because it’s my three-year PETAversary!
Three years ago, I decided to follow my heart and pursue my passion for animal liberation, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working alongside incredible people who I admire, and deeply cherish the friendships we’ve formed and the experiences we’ve shared. I’ve led and participated in over 100 demonstrations, crashed high-fashion runways, dumped fake blood and truckloads of manure to expose humane-washing, called out CEOs on stage for various campaigns and one in particular LIVE on Netflix for his support of the deadly Iditarod dog sled race, dumped countless barrels of coconuts to shed light on monkey labor, cemented my feet in the freezing cold, and been arrested for calling out Starbucks’ vegan milk upcharge. I’ve disrupted galas, sports games, Hollywood parties and premieres, which garnered massive media attention and millions of views online. All to keep the spotlight on animal abuse and exploitation.
And the victories have been real! Starbucks dropped its vegan milk upcharge, triggering a domino effect across major coffee chains who followed suit. Major coconut milk brands have cut ties with monkey labor. Harvard and UMass closed their monkey labs. The University of Bristol ended the forced swim test. Several Shrine circuses have stopped exploiting elephants and other animals. H&M dropped down. Several airlines have stopped shipping monkeys to be tortured and killed in labs. And the list goes on.
Working for PETA has meant pouring my whole self into this movement. Whether that’s doing demos, disrupting, jumping on countless planes to fly across the country and beyond, creating, writing, or speaking to the press. I wouldn’t trade a second of it.
⛓️💥 Until every cage is empty and every chain is broken. ⛓️💥
Thank you @peta for everything, including this beautiful card and shirt that I’ll treasure forever. 💙
Shoutout to @delana_barrett_86 because we both started on the same day! Happy three years friend! 💙
Today, on Donald Trump’s birthday, people all across the country poured into the streets in over 2,100+ protests and marches to make one thing clear: we will not tolerate tyranny in America. Proud to stand alongside so many. ✊ #NoKings #5051
This is my gift for your birthday, Donald Trump. 🎁
