@fugitive_artifact “Gutterswank EP” is officially out today! Go grab the wax from our bandcamp, @oneyewitness our distributor, or any of the fine shops selling new dance music on vinyl. If it’s not at your favorite shop, tell them to drop me a line 📩
FUGITIVE ARTIFACT - GUTTERSWANK EP
Four cuts of grimey, creepshow, noir tech and jackin Chicago House by Fugitive Artifact, NYC-via-Atlanta artist behind the @hdcrck_nyc party. Not a rehash or revival, but still full of respect for the founders of jack (also John Carpenter!). At times on the A-side, these tracks are psychedelic…driving bass lines over syncopated claps and rimshots with building, atmospheric swells inviting you to tumble down the manhole into a world of insomniac crime bosses and bleary eyed pleasures. The B side opens with a more techno tempo, but keeps the swirling percussion cooking. The record ends with an ominous daybreaker. You can hear the arrival of a grey dawn. An invitation to join the freaks in the gutter. Will you heed the call and join the ranks?!
Artwork by @r_ymondowen
Mastered by Dietrich Schoenemann
Shoutout to @commedes.larmes @grabthegroove @lesyeuxorange and @rave.your.soul for the premieres!

Bill Converse “Zone Zone” is officially out today! A double 12” pack of his signature sonic mad magic. Hit bandcamp or @oneyewitness to grab a copy! Just a heads up, there was a slight delay at the pressing plant. Records are going out to shops and individuals asap 🙏
Bill Converse should be a household name in every head’s abode. He’s been DJing live with 3+ turntables since he was a teenager, always under the same name. Unfathomably envious record collection. Your favorite DJ’s as well as very likely your favorite DJ. Whether it is DJing or a live set, his presentation is head-spinning, hard-edged but hypnotic. His avalanching drum programming is as recognizable as Coltrane’s timbre. His records have been released on @darkentriesrecords , @fitsound @texas_recordings_underground , Tabernacle Records, Immortal Sin, @acidtestrecords , @feral_colony and Obsolete Future. Now Fixed Rhythms presents a 2x12” pack of Bill’s characteristically bewildering excellence.
The first 12” has four cuts. Woozy, heavy, bombastic machine workout opener “Stress Test” followed by the tension peaking sustainer “ZoneZone” on the A side. On the B side, “770” brings us to a new place of plucky bass lines and unconventionally tuned drum workouts, with “lure me” closing the first 12” with flexing low-end, percussive stabs syncopated with heavy snaredrum riffing.
Where does this music come from? Although you hear the decades of Midwest techno, jacking Chicago house, brain-tickling Warp Records cuts, and his dizzying skills as a DJ in the brew, his sound is uniquely Bill’s. The second 12” peels back the curtain a bit more, as the C and D side are two extended cuts from his live set at 2024’s Jackie O’Body Vol. 2 in Denton, Texas. We here at the label were at that gig. Pure energy. Sexy distortion. Rhythms that made you scream. After the set, the room erupted in a chant of “BILL! BILL! BILL!”. Dear reader, witness the power of Bill Converse’s raw, overdriven, drummy, jack house tech madness!
Thank you to @bccoberlin @truckingrecords @moskalus @losprimerosviivi for premieres!

Today we are excited to announce preorders for Marcela Dias Sindaco’s 2xLP “Electro Tropical”!
In 2022, we released her first 12” on the label, “Rio de Janeiro 3025”. Then in 2023, her second 12” with us, “Cidade Fantasma”. We couldn’t be happier to present this new double pack, showcasing her signature take on electro.
These songs were recorded in various studios across Brazil, capturing the intangibles of Brazilian city life. You can hear her influences (Detroit techno, kosmische synth travel, electro, etc.), but she distills it all yet again into something completely her own. Whenever you listen to her music, you know it’s her. Hypnotizing electro made on warm machines with her sung/spoken Portuguese woven enchantedly throughout…truly sublime stuff. This is a 16 track groove journey that will make you a Marcela fan if you aren’t already one.
Swipe for some selected snippets from the album —>
The two black 12”s come housed in a beautiful jacket that offers you a glimpse into Marcela’s world, the back photo being taken in her home. Inside is an insert written by Italian curator and philosopher @massimotorrigiani . Only 300 copies pressed….
Preorder your copy at the bandcamp link in bio or from @oneyewitness
Huge thank you to @joedelon for rinsing a few tracks on @clydebuiltradio

We are very excited to have Montreal-based @__somebody3lse__ on for episode 70 of FRiends and Family!@__somebody3lse__ brings an element of surprise to their sets, weaving together a wide range of deconstructed rhythms and bass-heavy sounds. They grew up in Islington, London where local sound systems in streets and parks were an early source of inspiration.Their DJing career took off in 1990 when they began a residency on Rave FM pirate radio. They thrive on delighting and surprising music lovers on the dancefloor and over the airwaves as a co-host of the monthly show Rhizomatic on @ckutmusic . As a co-founder of @moodswings.mtl they organise events that recognise the shifting moods and emotions in music and their role in human expression and emotional release. Shout out @cyan.cmd for making the connection with us here (you can hear a track from CMD’s 2021 “Social Factory Reset” EP in the mix).
This recording is an all vinyl hour chocked full of superb mixing and selection, just headsy braintickling eclectic dance music riding a pumping simmer. Can’t ask for anything more in a mix, other than to hear the music on a thumper sound system. Check out @__somebody3lse__ for more of the same biz.

Antic Mix Series: Mix 005
Jack McKenzie, or as we know him: the legend of OKC, played at the March installment of Antic. The set blew the room away; it was a showcase of what years of dedication, skill and taste building can make in the right hands. Thankfully, we recorded the set and are happy to release it as the fifth installation for our mix series.
From the onset of our collective relationship with Jack, it felt as though we had all been close friends for a long time. This bond helped the night feel more like a party than a production, as it should. Collaborating with Jack and seeing his approach to parties, selecting, and playing vinyl left us inspired and appreciative.
A few words from QTC:
Far before meeting him, Fixed Rhythms (label co-run by Jack McKenzie) had cemented itself as one of the main labels I bought from. I was introduced to the label through Erika Gluck’s release (which I found far after it had come out), and started from there. Through this label, I would find Decoder, Ben Ritz, JR2K, Antron and so many others who impacted me as an artist.
This alone is truly amazing, impactful and positive beyond what can be asked of typical artist. From meeting him, it is clear he is also one of the kindest, caring and most dedicated individuals. He is the definition of doing it for the love of art. I believe that the world owes him a thank you for doing what he does, but also for being the person he is.

🚨 @qtc_chicago ringing in episode 69 of FRiends and Family 🚨
Oh jeez, what to say about QTC?! I started chatting with Conrad online...I forget exactly how and when...but I had been following his minimal party @chicago.antic ‘s excellent first couple mixes. Both of the first two were by him and his party partner @nate.thompson3 . They mix minimal records in a way that just really stands out to me. Their approach is so palpably sincere, honest, hardworking, with an emphasis on both quality music/mixing as well as a good ass time.
I went up to Chicago mid March and played their Antic party with Nate, QTC, and @josh_tong_ at the ultra nice TLC. When we met up at @gramaphonerecords and chatted in person for the first time, it felt like we had been friends forever and that we were excited to see each other after having not seen each other for a long time. A really special, headsy, sweet person. I can’t say enough about Conrad. If you don’t like minimal, well you should check out Antic and maybe you too will get turned on to the sexy.
But this mix as you can see from the tracklist in the SoundCloud link is more techno...QTC in rare techno mode you KNOW we’re here for it. Also rinsing lots of FR titles in the mix <3. If you’re ever in Chicago, stop by Gramaphone and ask for Conrad. Enjoy!

Fugitive Artifact – Gutterswank EP | Fixed Rhythms (FRS037)
Four cuts of grimey, creepshow, noir tech and jackin Chicago House by Fugitive Artifact, NYC-via-Atlanta artist behind the Headcrack party.

🚨 preorders are live for @fugitive_artifact “Gutterswank EP” 🚨 swipe for snips and get your preorder in on bandcamp or via @oneyewitness !
Four cuts of grimey, creepshow, noir tech and jackin Chicago House by Fugitive Artifact, NYC-via-Atlanta artist behind the @hdcrck_nyc party. You may also know his release on our ATL buds’ @dka_records . These tracks are not a rehash or revival, but still full of respect for the founders of jack (and also John Carpenter!). The A-side has some psychedelic moments…driving bass lines over syncopated claps and rimshots with building, atmospheric swells inviting you to tumble down the manhole into a world of insomniac crime bosses and bleary eyed pleasures. The B side opens with a more techno tempo, but keeps the swirling percussion cooking. The record ends with an ominous daybreaker. You can hear the arrival of a grey dawn. An invitation to join the freaks in the gutter. Will you heed the call and join the ranks?!

@icarus_redux is up for episode 68 of FRiends and Family, read below for context and visit our SoundCloud in bio for the music!
Sarvesh Ramprakash aka @icarus_redux (he/him, b. 1989, Arlington, Virginia) is a DJ, musician, and event organizer based out of the Washington, DC metro area. Prior to becoming a DJ in Minneapolis, Sarvesh spent formative time on both coasts of the United States, singing south Indian classical (Carnatic) and Western music, running a show and managing operations at WRGW (George Washington University), working in the music industry ( @alphapup ,@dublab , @ninjatune , @rootnote.collective ) and organizing warehouse dance music events.
Sarvesh sent me this mix, and I was thrilled to add it to our catalog of FRiends and Family mixes. There’s a lot of ambient inflected deeper techno and house in this episode. It comes up with rushy textures and brings you patiently into a euphoric zone for the well-sEasoned. Timbres and textures that just feel good, but it isn’t a cheap thrill. Careful selection and blending make this a mix that you look forward to listening to again. It’s like the best part of a party, when all the loud drunks are gone, and you and a small-ish group have the floor to yourselves to vulnerably open yourselves up to the music.
Visit our SoundCloud to listen in.

🗓️ March 21st 🗓️ come welcome Bill Converse to OKC to celebrate the release of his “Zone Zone” 2x12” on FR. Choice local support by @hhheadyyy (Broken Arrow), @r_ymondowen and @garrettsmth . Flyer by @r_ymondowen . Sound by @dj_sick_nick and lights by @chrome_dex . Gonna be a deep night, major tip!! $10-20 suggested at the door. Music from 9pm-3am. We love a release party! Come catch a night of excellent dance music and pick up a copy of the record if you’re so inclined.
A bit about Bill and the record:
Bill Converse should be a household name in every head’s abode. He’s been DJing live with 3+ turntables since he was a teenager, always under the same name. Unfathomably envious record collection. Your favorite DJ’s as well as very likely your favorite DJ. Whether it is DJing or a live set, his presentation is head-spinning, hard-edged but hypnotic. His avalanching drum programming is as recognizable as Coltrane’s timbre. His records have been released on @darkentriesrecords , @fitsound , @texas_recordings_underground , Tabernacle Records, Immortal Sin, @acidtestrecords , @feral_colony and Obsolete Future.
See you at the spot March 21st!

Jack McKenzie co-runs the Fixed Rhythms label in Oklahoma City.
We invited JM for an interview (Instagram CDL) and the mix (Soundcloud)
When DJing, he mostly plays records these days, blending techno, house, acid, minimal, electro, deep groovy rolling heady cuts, preferably with a touch of nuttiness.
Long blends, some fun cuts, no bullshit or flashiness either.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
