Hello and seasons greetings. We couldn’t find anything seasonal to post, so here’s a photo of a rusting skip in Somerset, which somehow feels appropriate. We’ve also decided to make all FD digital releases (and its sub-labels, Space Surgeries and Intercepts), pay what you want until the end of 2025. So please, fill your boots.

For our sanity, we’ve been mostly off the internet this year – so apologies if we’ve not responded to messages, engaged with people tagging us, etc. Social media has never really been our thing, and with Instagram morphing ever further into a surrealist hellscape, we’re just not encouraged to hang about here much, despite the many friendly faces.

This has been our tenth year running the label and we’re honestly stoked that enough people have supported FD’s releases to keep us going for a whole decade, not to mention all the awesome artists who have put their music and artwork in our hands. The label was started by accident and has always been a labour of love, but keeping up any kind of momentum for the last couple of years has been tricky, for various reasons. We were really happy to at least get one release out in 2025 though – a cracker of an EP from the unique talent that is Amanda Mücha. Do check it out if you haven’t already.

What happens with FD from here, well, we’re not sure. Perhaps we’ll put out something next year, perhaps we’ll wait a bit. It’s been a real pleasure to see many of our friends going from strength to strength with their own label projects, so for now we’re happy to take our foot off the gas and drink in all that musical goodness.

And if you happen to be within reach of London on Saturday 28th Feb 2026, do join us at Corsica Studios, where our good friends Bleep43 will be hosting a daytime party as part of the venue’s closing series. FD artists Surgeon, Plant43, Trappist and Linnley will be joining Azu Tiwaline, Erika, Rrose and Bleep43 residents for what promises to be a proper send off for this stellar venue. Come down for a dance if you can.

Take it easy and have a good one,

Ali & Paul

'Skin / You Make Me Go Under' by Mücha (fd025), featuring Surgeon, Datassette and Spatial remixes, is out today on vinyl and digital.

Frequency Domain celebrates 10 years of existence with a very special vinyl EP from musician and sound artist Amanda Butterworth, aka Mücha. 'Skin / You Make Me Go Under', Amanda's third release on the label, features two tracks forged through different studio approaches. The vinyl features heavyweight remixes from fellow FD artists Surgeon and Datassette, with our friend Spatial offering up a haunting bonus mix on the digital version.

The EP features cover art by Argentine painter Marco Ortolan. Marco has exhibited his work extensively around the world, exploring themes of emotion and human experience through his evocative style of magical realism. His first-ever record sleeve design, the artwork conjures a dreamlike composition that perfectly mirrors the music’s mood and atmosphere.

Mastered by Chris at Blacklisted.

Vinyl limited to 100 copies.

Came home to find a little treat on my doorstep. A carefully packaged parcel containing some vinyl with my music magically carved into it.
Not long now before release day! Been a while in the pipe line this, so I’m really over the moon the day is nigh…

@bleep_43 are back at the excellent Jacksons Lane venue in north London next month for another deep listening zone out. This one promises to be pretty special so do get along if you can :) Bristol's @dj_krust (!) has been working on a multichannel performance specially for horizontal consumption and there's fantastic live support from @jojohnson.tinysilences and @material_object (in town for their live UK debut). Frequency Domain's Ali Wade will be DJing and we'll have a small stack of back-catalogue bits from FD and related labels out on the merch stall. We hope to see some of you there!

Tickets etc. http://bio.site/bleep43

Huge thanks to the artists/artworkers for trusting FD with their work this year and to everyone who bought, played, listened to or otherwise supported the music we released - it means a lot. We somehow managed to put out five cassette albums in 2023, alongside two CD-R releases in our Space Surgeries series - some freebies below for anyone keen ;)

We're largely on hiatus in 2024, aside from one VERY special release by Amanda Mücha - more news about this soon.

Thanks again, take care and look after each other :)

The first physical orders for Space Surgeries volumes three and four have now shipped.

Thanks to everyone who has listened, picked up copies or given these tracks plays in radio shows - as ever, much appreciated. And thanks once more to Oli and Paul for these fantastic latest installments and to Ameet for the wonderful art accompanying the series.

Limited CDrs (which make great stocking fillers for those drone lovers in your life) available from the Space Surgeries Bandcamp, along with digital :)

We're pleased to announce our final releases of '23 - volumes three and four of Space Surgeries, our collaborative series with artist and designer Ameet Hindocha, aka @ambigraph.

The third instalment arrives from long-time FD associate @linnley_, whose alien droning and astral popping candy fits neatly into the label's soundworld. Linnley has previously contributed to two of our Partials compilations, as well as collaborating with the mighty @datassette (who did a lovely job of mastering this one).

spacesurgeries.bandcamp.com/album/filiform

Joining Linnley in this batch we have a brand new work from Southfacing aka @pgnnwy. Here he presents a more metallic sci-fi affair than the pastoral ambience of his Frequency Domain releases, with chinks of rainbow light cutting through the dense whirring fog as the album unfurls. Mastered by the dependably keen-eared Chris McCormack at Blacklisted.

spacesurgeries.bandcamp.com/album/a-witness-to-the-end

Both releases are now available on CD-R and digital, direct from the Space Surgeries Bandcamp. Limited to 50 copies each.

spacesurgeries.bandcamp.com

Thanks once again to Ameet for his fantastic artwork. It's always a pleasure to work with him. Check out more of his explorations over on his Instagram page, particularly his stunning first book, 12 Twelves, copies of which are still available :)

A reminder that this is happening on Saturday in east London and we thoroughly recommend getting along if you can. Not only are @bleep_43 putting on the UK debut show of John Elliott's @imaginarysoftwoods project (at last!), there's also some truly fantastic live support from @anaquiroga__ and contributor to FD's Partials series, @iamloula.

It's the @bleep_43 crew's first time at @the.bath.house.hw. Music runs from midday till 5pm, so you get to mong out on mats with nice people and a finely tuned sound system for the afternoon then still have your evening free. We'll be down there with some old and new bits of FD merch - and Ali from the label will be playing music (?) between the live acts too. Come down!

Introducing '◯' by Virusmoto (fd024).

After their appearance on our recent Partials III compilation, Frequency Domain fully welcomes @virusmoto_sound to our roster of artists, with the mystical head-trip album ‘◯’, which the artist describes as being “about the experience of the irrational in the rational”.

These iridescent tracks conjure up atmospheres of verdant, febrile landscapes, populated with arcane structures and artefacts. Clambering through rubbery, electro-sonic creepers or sinking into a crackling rhythmic swamp of delirious bleeps and bass tones, ‘◯’ is a journey into the frazzled edges of nature’s understood limits.

The inspiration for ‘◯’ is to explore known and unknown experiences, the masking of fear that irrational thought and experience induces. You can feel the presence of chaotic forces running through the music - a cast of mischievous sprites, deranged pipers and tribal percussionists intent on hypnotising and directing you into a deliciously opaque maze, a place to get lost in and revel in the experience of embracing the irrational.

Mastered by Chris at Blacklisted with artwork by the ever-fantastic @ambigraph.

Run of 55 cassettes with petrol blue shells and matt j-cards, available now from frequencydomain.bandcamp.com.

Hello. We had some requests for a second tape run of the last Frequency Domain release, the wondrous ECCO by Polypores (@sjbuckers) - 58 minutes of lysergic loveliness pairing the @somasynths Lyra-8 with a @1010_music Lemondrop. So we made up 50 lemondrop yellow tapes for anyone who missed it and would like a copy. They'll be up on Bandcamp tomorrow, 10.30am UK time or thereabouts :)

Pssst. We kept back a few copies of our long sold-out Partials III tapes in case overseas orders didn't reach their destinations. These are now up on Bandcamp for anyone who missed it and fancies one. 18 amazing artists, with all proceeds to the @refugeecouncil.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
