Looking for a creative summer experience for the young artist in your life? 🎨

This summer, Fuller Craft Museum is offering four weeks of art-filled mornings for youth ages 8–11. Each week introduces new materials, techniques, and projects inspired by craft, creativity, and hands-on exploration.

From clay and sculpture to painting and mixed media, students will experiment, make new friends, and create artwork in an inspiring museum setting with supportive instruction and small class sizes.

What stories can be hidden inside a sculpture made from discarded objects?

Find out at Meet Myron Day this Sunday. Alongside the return of “Duck” by Leo Sewell, visitors will also have the chance to experience “Seated Lady”, another remarkable sculpture by the artist built from thousands of found and recycled materials.

Our Museum Educator will be available to share behind-the-scenes insight into Sewell’s creative process, the hidden details within the artwork, and how everyday objects are transformed into something unexpected. It’s a chance to slow down, look closely, and engage with the art in a whole new way.

Through hand-dyed fabrics, stitching, and layered organic forms, Shobrys explores themes of resilience, renewal, growth, and decay through two powerful floral symbols: the familiar geranium and the transcendent lotus. These large-scale, site-responsive installations invite visitors to slow down, look closely, and reflect on the cycles of the natural world and our connection to it.
