OUT OF CHAOS trailer. Shit where do I even begin, this film is so close to my heart. I’m eternally grateful to have worked with so many genius creatives I’m definitely going to have do separate posts to shout them out - but for now - the trailer

I’m so proud of this project. I met Savanna on tour in America and heard tightrope a dozen times and loved it. When we decided to do the music video together it struck me the song is over 5 minutes and we had 20 minutes of 16mm film. I was conscious we might not have enough for a well-paced condensed edit.

I was so wrong, it’s the first time in a good while I wasn’t focused purely on making the quickest/hookiest edit possible. Just letting the story flow, emotions breathe, and focusing on everything I discussed with Savanna about what tightrope means. Still unsure of the slow pace, what really changed my opinion was screening it. Seeing how people responded to the video was so rewarding, it was understood how I’d hoped and I think a big part of that is because the focus shifted from fast effects to story. Of course a massive part of that is because of Savanna’s beautifully written song. Please go and check out the full video if you can on Savanna’s YouTube.
