I’m very excited to be headlining the inaugural @mixedroots Jazz Festival in Fairfield, Connecticut on June 14!

As a Korean American adoptee, this hits close to home. Mixed Roots Foundation is doing incredible work supporting adoptees and their families at every stage of life, and I’m proud to be part of something that brings awareness and community together.

Found this rad jacket in a thrift store in Seoul 🇰🇷 It was freezing cold outside, stepped into this store and walked down a steep flight of stairs.

There were a few different colors with similar designs for this style, this very kind older Korean woman there who kept encouraging me to try the yellow. To be honest, I wasn’t feeling it but she kept showing me the jacket.. Almost to the point where it was getting a little pushy. Anyways, I tried it on and Immediately loved it. She was right. That is the End of my story. 😂

So much amazing music, incredible sights, beautiful memories, incredible times with beautiful people and a dream to get to go to Brazil for the very first time!!!!! A place I’ve always wanted to travel to and has inspired me musically so much.

I even got to see an insane night of samba out on the town one evening in Rio. I took a brazillian percussion class at Berklee and it was one of my favorite classes… to see it in real life with local musicians was so freaking amazing.
