Training for the extremes 🗻🚁


During this year’s Search and Rescue Exercise hosted by Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, our crews engaged in extreme cold-weather and environment-based training to ensure our assets and technical skills as a team remain ready to respond in the harshest conditions.

This event was a multi-day, joint-training exercise focused on strengthening collective response to incidents by deepening interoperability with federal, tribal, state, local, and allied partners.
Training exercises like these ensure we remain ready to respond decisively to crises or contingencies in the harsh and expansive Arctic environment.
