NEW MUSIC IN A COUPLE WEEKS!! I have so much coming for you this year that I am beyond proud of. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous as it has been so long but to anyone who listens to my music, thank you for being here. It means more than you know! After the WHNM EP and all that came with it I found it really hard to be vulnerable. Something about singing about your deepest darkest moments everyday can become a manifestation of sadness in your life especially if you don’t have the right support around you. I was scared to be vulnerable again, I was scared to dig deep in the fear I would feel so out of control and spiral again. This time it feels different, I have grown up, I’m sitting comfortably in my independence and I have in fact made something I never thought I’d make. I nearly gave up on myself but I didn’t and I feel extremely proud of that. This music is on constant rotation and I am just sooooo excited for it to exist in other people’s worlds. I needed to write it so I think some of you might need to hear it. Here’s to a new chapter🤍Ahhh I can’t believe it’s finally happening

I’ve been going back and forth about sharing this as there’s a real lack of education and conversation around this topic and it feels quite vulnerable but I have a platform and if I’m not going to use it for good what’s the point. Please go for your smear test (cervical screening), I too put my first one off for almost 2 years and unfortunately realised that closing your eyes doesn’t make it go away. HPV is extremely common, in fact 80-90% of sexually active people will have a type of HPV in their lifetime and whilst it can go on its own and not cause any harm, in my case it didn’t and has led to further interventions. I naively thought that because I was with the same partner for 7 years that I would be fine. I was wrong. Whilst I don’t have it anymore, for the past year and a half I’ve been dealing with the aftermath of it and it’s been really tough. I don’t want to go in to detail but if this post can encourage at least one person to go and get their smear done, it’s job done. I know it feels scary but I promise you what comes from closing your eyes can be a lot scarier. I’ve just had my second surgery and I just feel so grateful that I went when I did, even if it was late, it wasn’t too late!

filmed this watching the sunrise at 6.30am for us to look back on. We’re both entering new chapters of our lives and although it can all feel like a massive test at times I have a feeling it’s going to be a special time for both of us.
