Exciting news for Gravesham 👏

The first round of Pride in Place funding has now been awarded, with more than £360,000 invested into projects that will make a real difference across our communities — alongside an additional £80,000 in match funding from local organisations.

This investment is about more than buildings and infrastructure.

It is about investing in the places we rely on every day.
The facilities that bring our communities together.
And the projects helping make our borough cleaner, safer, stronger and more connected.

Projects funded so far include:
🏊 Improvements to the Cecil Road Primary School public pool

🏡 Community kitchen and space upgrades at St Aiden’s Church to support services including a community café, lunch clubs and cookery sessions

♿ Improved disabled access and repairs at Higham Memorial Hall

⚽ Improvements to Cobham sports pavilion and playground safety

🚻 Refurbishment of public toilets at Camer Park

🌿 Improvements to communal gardens at independent living schemes across the borough

🚫 New barriers to help prevent fly-tipping

📹 Additional CCTV cameras at key locations across Gravesham

These projects will help improve community wellbeing, strengthen local facilities and support cleaner, safer and more connected neighbourhoods across the borough.

And this is only the beginning.

More projects are currently being considered as part of the Pride in Place programme, with further investment expected later this year.

Together, these investments will help strengthen our communities and improve the places we call home.

Fly-tipping at the Asda Gravesend recycling point has consequences.

Our Environmental Enforcement team has been working with Asda following years of serious and repeated fly-tipping at the clothing recycling point.

So far:
⚠️ 11 Community Protection Warning Notices have been issued
💷 Two £1,000 fines have been handed out for serious offences
⚖️ Further investigations are ongoing and may result in additional fines or court prosecutions

Residents are reminded that only clothing should be placed inside the bins. Anything left outside will be treated as fly-tipping.

👕 Items left beside the banks quickly become damaged by weather and vermin contamination, meaning they cannot be donated to charity. Instead of raising valuable funds, they often end up costing charities money to remove and destroy.

We will continue taking action against offenders. Thank you to everyone helping us keep Gravesham clean and safe.

Today we mark VE Day and remember the courage and sacrifice of all those who helped bring an end to the Second World War in Europe. 🇬🇧

This morning, the flag was raised in Community Square as Gravesham joined communities across the country in remembrance.

We honour the generation whose service and resilience helped secure the peace and freedoms we enjoy today.

We remember them.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
