When I started at the BBC, the Imagine films were held as the flagship Arts Documentary series, with Alan at the helm. Over the next 10 years, I was allowed to contribute (sometimes on small shoots, sometimes whole episodes) to 15 Imagine films, and was paired with talented directors and producers who remain close friends today.
