with the final album (and the last of our label budget), we wanted to do smaller music video chunks to capture the personality of each song on AFTERTASTE. don’t know myself is about wrestling with yourself. it’s about what you once thought you should be or could have been. it’s about self-sabotage and self-reflection. it’s the curiosity about why you do the things you do, interact with those you love and then disappear, try to be someone else’s expectation of who you should be and then get burned for it. it’s about feeling like you end up not knowing what the truest form of yourself is. it’s the frustration and exasperation that comes after the thought whirlwind. i’ve learned i’m always changing. and i am always shedding.
this sunday at 10am, we bring you the short-form music video for don’t know myself - demo, in anticipation of our very last show ever at The Lodge Room on October 27th. we hope you will shed with us. xo
