I'm quite bad at posting photos and sharing my adventures, which is the main reason I've never ventures into the content creation game. But I do want to share this moment because it means a lot of me.

Guatemala was one of the first places I ever went to with my parents when I was 18- and the very first country I visited when I was of legal drinking age. Suffice it to say, my first time in Antigua was not spent traversing the many volcanos that rim the town, as I cannot use both my liver and lungs at the same time.

So on my most recent trip to Honduras, I decided to revisit Antigua and see how it has changed (a lot! You don't even need to know Spanish anymore), go to the sports bar I once worked at that makes nachos the size of your table, visit the pub I once saw Buena Vista Social Club perform, eat infinite avocados, and perhaps most importantly, finally climb Volcan Acetenango, which every backpackers I've met since seems to have done and raves about.

While an 8 hour hike and camping in near freezing temperatures certainly sounds abysmal , I'd say it's worth it for this moment- captured under the light of a full moon. My dangerously chapped lips might disagree.

There are honestly only a handful things I've seen in life that really puts the power and majesty of planet earth on full display (Vikos Gorge, Amazon, riverboat, Azores plate, Victoria Falls, Sahara foothills, Blue Hole, Nazaré, Ha Long Bay, Mt. Kazbegi, etc), but getting up close and personal with a volcano will always make the list.
