When I moved back to my hometown of Durham, North Carolina, something shifted. I started listening to that quiet little voice inside - pulling me toward color, home, space, storytelling in a different form. What started as a side project has grown into a full interior design studio, and I even acquired a home staging company. I flipped my first house. I’ve filled rooms with vintage finds, layered texture and history, and found myself completely lit up by this new kind of creative work. It’s been wild, rewarding, and honestly ….healing.

But letting go is hard. I’ve cried about this, journaled about it, circled the decision a thousand times. HushedCommotion was it for so long. The people, the stories, the pieces we made together, they’ve formed me. It’s made me a better designer. A better risk-taker. A better version of myself.
