8 years ago Samora and I reconnected in NYC. He was already a sought after keys player, and had all the accolades of a young jazz phenom, fresh out of Julliard.

But Samora knew he had a bigger mission, a voice and a pen. He sent me some songs he’d been working on with @jackdeboe, and asked if I could help. There was no doubt in me that I needed to support Samora becoming the artist he was meant to be.

That music he sent me back then was VENUS, which is released today across all platforms, almost 8 years later. Great things take time.

As you will hear in this music, he has the magical ability to speak to the raw core of the human experience, in a voice that’s both delicately vulnerable, and daringly powerful.
