✨ Sound in Film & Media – Giving Back Where It Began ✨

When I studied music composition at UniJos, stepping into the Nigerian film industry revealed something bigger: sound in film is much more than music, with so many paths to explore.

Before leaving MTF, I was asked a question that stayed with me: “How would you give back?” For the growing Sound industry, the answer led back to where it all started — the Department of Music, UniJos. It was there that the idea of working in film as a composer was first encouraged, and it felt right to return.

On September 22nd, 2025, with the help of friends, mentors in the community, we held a masterclass titled “Sound in Film & Media.” Together, we explored the many aspects of soundin film— from pre-production to post-production — sharing challenges, lessons, and hopes for the future and the power of collaboration.

✨ Sound in Film & Media – Giving Back Where It Began ✨

When I studied music composition at UniJos, stepping into the Nigerian film industry revealed something bigger: sound in film is much more than music, with so many paths to explore.

Before leaving MTF, I was asked a question that stayed with me: “How would you give back?” For the growing Sound industry, the answer led back to where it all started — the Department of Music, UniJos. ✨ Sound in Film & Media – Giving Back Where It Began ✨

When I studied music composition at UniJos, stepping into the Nigerian film industry revealed something bigger: sound in film is much more than music, with so many paths to explore.

Before leaving MTF, I was asked a question that stayed with me: “How would you give back?” For the growing Sound industry, the answer led back to where it all started — the Department of Music, UniJos. It was there that the idea of working in film as a composer was first encouraged, and it felt right to return.

On September 22nd, 2025, with the help of friends, mentors in the community, we held a masterclass titled “Sound in Film & Media.” Together, we explored the many aspects of soundin film— from pre-production to post-production — sharing challenges, lessons, and hopes for the future and the power of collaboration.
