Last year I spent time in some pretty parts of Victoria making this promo for the Department of Education. We shot on a 360° camera which gave us lots of room to have fun in the edit.

This is a snippet of a piece that I created for @south_east_community_links as part of their work addressing financial abuse. It was so powerful to work with Seyema who shares her story of physical and financial abuse with immeasurable grace. Check out the full version to listen to the whole tale. This video was used to advocate for policy change in the financial-services-industry in Australia.
Seyema’s story is sadly not that unique. Recent data from the Australia Institute of Ciminology indicate a rise in women being killed by their intimate partner in 2022-2023, compared to the previous year. A 30% rise. That’s pretty alarming.
We have to keep talking about it, calling out locker-room behaviour, and teaching our boys to respect girls (well to respect everyone) from a young age. Some people think we don’t need feminism anymore, because many women feel like they are living a relatively equal life. But no-one is free until we’re all free. So let’s keep talking about it and working on, it until everyone is safe.

A little while back I made a lil fundraising video with the leading ladies at East African Women’s Foundation.
@eastafricanwf support our Somali community in Melbourne, including helping new arrivals settle in 😊
Check out the EAWF fundraising page: chuffed.org/project/ilays.
If you can spare a couple of dollars, you can support their renos and community activities!

No one is free until we're all free. End apartheid. End genocide. End occupation. Decolonise your mind. #freepalestine #freepalestine🇵🇸

When I was in poland in 2012, I stood in horror at Auschwitz concentration camp wondering how the holocaust could possibly have happened. 💔
I was told that most Germans didn’t truely know what was going on at the time.
This week, a friend challenged me. He asked me “If you have ever questioned "what would I have done?" during that genocide, now is the time to answer that question.”
Right now, there is a genocide happening in Gaza. Unlike the Holocaust, or Year Zero in Cambodia, the Rwandan genocide, and others, this Palestinian genocide is being broadcast on social media.
My TikTok and instagram is filled with video of Palestinian people being wiped off this earth. The suffering is heart-breaking and extremely difficult to continue watching. 9000+ people dead, including 3700+ children and counting as of Nov 2.
If you have ever wondered what you would have during in the holocaust, history is now repeating itself, and you have a chance to answer that question.
It doesn’t always feel like we can do much, but if we can pressure our government, that can help.
I call for the Australian government to say no to genocide, no to apartheid, support a ceasefire, and free palestine.
Yes there is complexity and nuance in this situation, but GENOCIDE is simply wrong. It has nothing to do with religion.
I’ve been thinking over these last three weeks it’s better to not add my voice into the mix, as there are more important people to be listening to. I don’t want to water down the voices of those with lived experience.
But this week I learned that my voice is actually critical here, because every 15 minutes someone dies in Gaza, and they need the planet to scream with them.
If you would like to get an on-the-ground account of what is happening in Gaza, I’d recommend following @shaunking.
🚨PLEASE BE WARNED🚨 the work that this account is doing is important and can be very graphic and violent.
I am sharing becuase believe that bearing witness is an important act in this world, and can catalyse a pathway to positive action.
I hope this advice helps you as it helped me.

Finding Yeezus is a web series and wacky-brainchild of @iamcameronjames and @thisisalexei. Lots of lols and Matrix gags for any die-hard fans out there.
Episode #5 is out today so you can binge a few eps. Nom nom nom. Follow the links on @grousehousetv to watch it.
Thanks to @rebeccaametcalf and the cast & crew on this one for such a fun day 😄

In covid-times, @studiokettle_ worked with AKP (Australian Karen Preserving & Promoting History + Cultural Association Inc.) to make videos in-language for the Karen community around Hoppers Crossing, who are migrants and refugees from the Karen State in Burma.
We worked with a youth team who stressed the need for videos in their Karen languages. They wanted to bring medical information to the community which until that point had only been available in written form.
The issue here is that many Karen people never had the chance to learn to read, therefore most did not have access to the huge amounts of information us English-speaking folk had during the pandemic.
Pretty crazy to think about! A reminder that the “nothing about us, without us” philosophy is important when it comes to cross-cultural work too.
The content we created was a series of Q&A videos featuring community elders and doctors answering video questions submitted by people in the community. The project was funded by of the Multicultural Outreach Program.
@ayshazack did an amazing job leading this project (photo 1,) and big love to @michaelincolndp and @nehashenvi.film for making it pretty (photo 2.)
The video here is a sample of the whole series.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
