On day eight of the search for Michael Burham, Lt. Col. George Bivens of the PSP confirmed Burham has been sighted in the Warren area from provided security footage. You can view that video in this post.
Police believe Burham has changed out of the clothes he was wearing when he escaped based on the footage. He was last seen wearing an orange and white striped jumpsuit, jean jacket and Crocs. They also reported that Burham prefers to move at night but noted it is difficult to travel at night quickly.
State police showed pictures during Thursday's news conference of bags found wrapped in a dark-colored tarp, partially concealed under a log, believed to belong to Burham. The bags reportedly contained clothing, food and survival supplies and were found in the woods in the Warren County area. Tests are still pending on whether the items do in fact belong to Burham.
Burham remains on the loose and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Breaking: Two people are dead after a plane crash near the Jamestown, New York airport.
Several emergency crews responded Tuesday afternoon, with the crash happening just before 2 p.m.
The victims were two adult males who were traveling from Oshawa, Canada Tuesday morning. They made a pit stop at Erie Airport shortly after 11 a.m. before heading to Jamestown. The plane had just refueled in Jamestown, so the roughly 92 gallons of fuel helped make the blaze that was caused by the crash large as it engulfed nearby woods.

Ice cream season is almost upon us, and a Waterford ice cream shop is sporting a new name this year.

This winter has been a wild ride. Temperatures toward the end of December (which marked the beginning of winter, according to calendars) dropped dramatically into negative-digit highs. That froze pipes in homes and businesses. It ran up electricity bills.
That cold snap now feels to some like a lifetime ago, and the temperatures swung wildly to unseasonable highs. The rivers have thawed and are again flowing freely.
But guess what didn’t happen? Presque Isle Bay still hasn’t frozen over, and that has completely impeded ice fishing season.
Thankfully for fishermen, the creeks remain free flowing and the steelhead are abundant.
Along the banks of a local creek known for steelhead fishing, Michael Kulak of Eglon, West Virginia, was packing up his gear in the late morning on Jan. 11. Three fish lay on a stringer, occasionally kicking their tails.
“I’ll never go back to New York for steelhead compared to this place. It has very good quality fish management.”
That matches the sentiment of the experts at Poor Richards. Campanella said several of his regular customers have reported having their “best day ever” this past week.
