Things I learned in 36 hours while in Arizona. Charging your car in the desert supposedly saves money and takes forever, while in reality you spend money while waiting for the car to charge, but the boba was delicious. Ice cream always is a good idea unless your body hates dairy. A restaurant that looks like an early 2000s cocktail bar probably only has “pretty decent”brunch. Thrifting in a Costco size thrift store is worth a 36 hour drive, but mostly because it’s with people you love. Music has a way of making you laugh, especially a silly, catching Kacey Musgrave’s song and when music requests run low, there is always scientific health podcasts to make the drive faster. Carl’s Junior will always be a one star restaurant. #travelmusings

For my life feels like a mixture of potential and chaos. Unfinished projects and crazy hair mixed withlofty dreams of magic making. Wandering paths, that one may say I’m lost on. But really it was a detour through beauty I didn’t know my heart needed as the ocean air blessed my lungs and the quiet giggle to myself that I wanted to say out loud “the hills look like Ireland” and my kids would ensure me, that they in fact , do not. But this is my inside joke with them and I smile ear to ear.For the potential and the chaos are who I am, and I love that.

I have spent the last two days wanting to cry. I’ll blame hormones. Coffee is on the run today and I remember that some days just are barely survivable, and then I always giggle when I think about @alisonkgruber advice of scheduling my breakdowns on the calendar. Just pencil them in and then get on with your day. And if you don’t follow @taradoesitall , do it, and go watch her reel on healing. Because some days it’s smiles, tree hugging, working out, and some days it’s tears! Happy Wednesday from this babbling mind
