Our Strip Out and Enabling project at 7 Princes Street presented a few logistical challenges which were identified and overcome through early engagement with key stakeholders.

To the rear of the building stood Grocers Hall, which houses one of the Great 12 Livery Companies in the City of London and who today play a significant role in the City’s constitutional and ceremonial life, including the election of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs.

It was imperative that our works did not disrupt the day-to-day functions and events that so often would take place within Grocers Hall. This was achieved with great success whilst on site.

Thank you to @morgancapital.london and Abakus Consulting for the collaboration and giving us the opportunity to work on this scheme.

We look forward to seeing the refurbishment when complete.

We are currently working as sub-contractor on the Citi Bank project for Overbury who have registered the site as an Ultra Site with CCS.

By collaborating with their supply chain, Ultra Sites show their commitment to continuous improvement, not just for their own site, but the wider construction industry.

KpH Deconstruction were commissioned as Principal Contractor on this 7 week Strip Out and Enabling project at The Hoo in Hampstead, working alongside @gt_llp

The Hoo is Grade II Listed, a large detached house in the Hampstead area of the London Borough of Camden. An early design in the Queen Anne style by the architect Horace Field, it was built 1888–90 and altered 1987–88.

Due care and attention and a considerate approach was adopted to listed features which included assigning the right site team and personnel to undertake the works. Due to the nature of the building, licensed and non licensed asbestos removal was sequenced within the removal process and again was undertaken with due care and skill, taking into account listed features.

🎉 International Women’s day at KpH Deconstruction 🎉

Today we celebrate the women in our company who are breaking down barriers and making waves in our sector.

Women have traditionally been underrepresented in the construction industry but here at KpH we celebrate and recognise the new perspectives, skills, and experience that our female staff bring to the fore.

Our Operations Director, Lyndsey West, brings a new level of diversity to the company’s decision-making processes. She has been instrumental in building our brand, culture, and ability to innovate which has enabled us to create a more gender equal work force and maintain industrial leadership in Deconstruction.

Lyndsey is also mentoring our school leaver, in her role as Trainee Estimating Assistant . Megan McDonald has chosen a varied and interesting career path that is full of potential and progression, she has all the qualities and characteristics that set her in good stead to become a great estimator.

We work hard to change perceptions that prevent women from entering this field, offering training and education to reduce skill gaps, and removing barriers that have previously limited their involvement in our industry. We currently have two female site operatives who are highly motivated, determined and driven and making a positive contribution to our team.

KpH employ women in an array of roles within our head office, they are essential to the success of our business ranging from accounts, health and safety, business development, waste, and logistics coordination – we are very lucky to have such a formidable workforce and their achievements are regularly recognised and celebrated.

KpH Environmental were awarded the project by longstanding client, Omega Building Services to remove 1no. 3,000ltr buffer vessel.

The vessel was located in a live boiler room and within close proximity to tenants, therefore great care needed to be taken to protect the live services and reduce any disruption.

Scope of Works

-The team set up a restricted working area with clear signage to ensure the area was segregated from tenants

-All live services were protected with sheeting

-The vessel was cut into suitable size sections for removal from site utilising hot cutting methods and hand tools where required, keeping any noise to a minimum

-The experienced team carried out the dismantling and removal to a high standard with no complaints or damage

-All waste was safely and successfully removed from the site and all disposal paperwork was handed over to the client on completion
