One year. One year ago my life took on a new measurement, “how many months since your last seizure?” A new box to check at every doctors appointment or before every flu shot or covid shot, “seizure disorder.”
One year ago my world was rocked. It has been the scariest year and yet the most fulfilling year. I saw the Grand Canyon, Mexico, Paris, and Italy. I married my best friend! My best friend married her best friend! I gained 2 new brothers and 2 new sisters, I got to see my family more than most years, the chiefs won the Super Bowl and I went on my honeymoon. I made changes to my lifestyle, changes to my boundaries and changes to how I wake up everyday. I’m so proud of this past year and what I’ve learned…and of my beautiful kooky brain.
