Hoard World Premiere in competition at @settimana_della_critica @venice.film.festival

Still so much to process from the whirlwind of the last 12 hours.

A deeply moving experience to share this film with audiences for the first time - and even more so to receive a five minute standing ovation. Huge credit and testament to @lunacarmoon’s singular vision and @suricatall @josephquinn @hayzsquires electric performances.

All the love 🐀🥁🛒✨❤️

✨ BAFTA ✨

The perfect end to five years of love and labour, celebrating our BAFTA nominated film together as a family! A huge achievement that I feel exceptionally proud of.

Some films are destined to live on eternally though, and I know in my bones that this is one of them. When you pour something so truthful and real, something so singular and unapologetic onto the screen like this it becomes more than just a film.

I genuinely believe that @lunacarmoon is one of the most exciting new voices in cinema, we are witnessing the start of something great.

I have always had such a commitment to make exceptional work that both challenges, excites and entertains an audience and also uses the special privilege we have as filmmakers to speak a deeper truth, and HOARD is such a wonderful example of that, I am forever proud of us as a team, and the film we have made. How lucky I am to work with people I love so dearly @helensimmons8 @lunacarmoon

Special thanks to @evayatest who saw the potential in us, allowed us so much creative freedom in development - and vitally, didn’t hold us back getting into production. This sounds like a small thing, but really, it is huge, in this country we spend too much time wringing dry creativity and energy in development, and it makes many films feel stale, but in Hoard, because of Eva, we were afforded the pleasure of capturing that explosive energy on screen.

And to @miabays for always being the most incredible champion for the film, and us as filmmakers, throughout the whole journey of the film. Through the good times, and the really tough times. I owe my whole career to the support of the@britishfilminstitute.

There is always more to say, but I just feel so lucky to get to do this, to make films I really believe in, to work with people I love, and to see those films so well received.

I only wish that my Mum, who I said goodbye to as a 19 year old who loved making silly films with friends at the weekends, could see where it all ended up. She gifted me all the important things, but most importantly a love of story and a moral integrity, which guide me through everything.

✨ BAFTA ✨

The perfect end to five years of love and labour, celebrating our BAFTA nominated film together as a family! A huge achievement that I feel exceptionally proud of.

Can FINALLY share that I’ve been over in Utah for Sundance Catalyst, the institute’s financing forum, with 9 teams selected from across the world to meet with US investors.

This has been just the most incredible experience, amongst some of the best filmmakers in the world. I have never participated in something so energising, uplifting and with such a strong sense of community. There is a real magic in the mountains here.

And such a joy to do it with my long time pal and collaborator Jack Benjamin Gill 💖

And guys, people out here in America actually want to invest in movies!

Long live cinema and the power of stories! 🏔️

You wanna know, know that it doesn’t hurt me.

In less than a hundred years all of us, our friends, our family will be gone, returned to the earth, and we’ll be lucky if anyone even remembers our name.

Anyone else feel this now more than ever?

A shift in perspective.

A shift in purpose.

A deeper knowing and understanding of what life means.

A freedom.

Hold on to those that align, lovingly let go of those that don’t.

Accept the lessons you didn’t want to learn, the grief, the darkness.

Because, you are here. I’m here. And for that, I have endless gratitude.

Hoping I can give her all the love to last her lifetime and beyond.

The greatest privilege there is.

2025 “As you walk the way, the way appears” - Rumi

A question: When you make decisions, do you make them for you and how they make you feel, or do you make them based on how they look to others, and how they make others feel about you?

This year I put how I felt about myself first, and it has made me feel the most grounded I think I have ever felt.

Carving out time at the gym - putting it in my diary like a meeting.

Bringing adventure, presence, love and magic to my Fridays looking after Billie.

Career choices that give me energy, taking on the Programme Leader role on BA Filmmaking with excellent colleagues at @schoolofdigitalarts, and making quite literally the impossible happen with an exceptional feature going into production early 2026.

Investing time and energy into fixing up our home.

Quality time with loved ones who see me, champion me, and lift me up.

Sounds easy when you write it down, but as someone who’s baseline is hyper-vigilant dread, finding the power to curate the life I want to live, and not being fuelled by what I think I need to achieve, or what I fear will happen, but by what makes me feel happy and healthy, well, it’s no small thing.

🙏

🙏

Gallery Opening 🎨🖼️

Billie and I are doing a lot of solo weekends at the moment, and today she had the idea of creating a gallery and inviting our neighbours to its opening.

I was only too happy to oblige! And suggested we create a big central showstopper piece of work in the hallway.

Shout out to our amazing neighbours who turned up promptly this evening after recieving their invitations through their letterboxes this afternoon.

Everyone recieved marshmallows and prosecco on arrival 🥂

Artist notes read:

Choomin 2025. Paint on paper with cardboard crocodiles.
“I felt happy making this, and hope you feel happy looking at it.”

Choomin was displayed with a collection of older works.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
