It’s the first Monday of the month, which means it’s time to share artists I love.

@mosokje’s monthly #share5artists is a beautiful way to support incredible artists and give them a little extra light.

I haven’t opened Instagram much last month because it’s been quite intense, but somehow, the positive creative energy from the artists I love has stayed in my mind. I think that kind of energy is very powerful. No matter how AI changes the world, this feeling is something unreplaceable.

I am running through the forest like an overjoyed Ziggy. 
Ziggy was selected as one of the finalists for the Illustrator's Exhibition. It took me a little time to believe it was real.

My illustrations were for Folktale Week, and the story came from my life as an immigrant. I have struggled, lost my voice, and felt invisible. But in this creative place, I found my voice again. With it, I’ve met so many wonderful creative people I deeply admire and respect. They continue to inspire me.

The judges did not know this side of the story, but I am so grateful, with heartfelt thanks.

I also want to congratulate all the finalists and the winners!

Getting proper reach on Instagram is becoming harder and harder. The idea of #share5artists is to support amazing artists we admire, help their work be seen, and go beyond Instagram’s algorithm by sharing. It’s not just about gaining more followers. It’s about a community that influences each other and creates connections and opportunities.

And simply, when someone shares my work, it lights up my day.😊

Monty’s constant support for the creative community, and her loving attention to artists’ work, is truly remarkable. I am incredibly grateful for her.

@naomitippingillustrator totally inspired me with her concertina sketchbook idea. I bought one last year, but it had been blank ever since. I picked it up to start a daily people drawing practice.
I’m sharing it here so I have some nice pressure to walk the talk for myself.
