This 10x20 acrylic cabinet housed a slot car track that was a replica of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, complete with a custom infinity mirror and a sleek Vegas strip model. Ever seen a rally car spaceship interior? Now you have! This was a fun kit-bashed set we created for our friends @sunrunnersmovie
The filmmakers had such a cool vision for this idea of a rally car space cockpit with nods to old-school NASA aesthetics.
The whole set was built onto a roll cage system that would allow the crew to add realistic tilting motions for the actors! Our team went to town with kit-bashed wires, switches, tubing and paneling. This was a fun example of a quick set build on a tight budget. We got to embrace our roots of repurposing elements like home depot plumbing, landscape paneling, and miscellaneous LEDs and simple circuits. Can you ID any of the pieces we used on this set?
