When discussing tonight’s look, we were drawn to the collar of the dress—a subtle nod to the ruffled silhouettes of ages past. I wanted the makeup to echo that same sensibility, referencing classical portraiture with fresh, youthful skin and soft, translucent layers of color.

To begin, I applied a sheer layer of SurrealSkin® Natural Finish Foundation in shade ‘2 N', followed by SurrealSkin® Awakening Concealer in shades ‘120' and ‘140' to brighten and add coverage where needed. I softly sculpted the face using the SoftSculpt® Shaping Stick in 'Light Medium', adding dimension along the cheekbones and jawline, and brought a natural flush to the skin with Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil in 'Pink Peony'.

While the complexion was still in its dewy phase, I misted the skin with SurrealSkin® Soft Setting Spray, allowed it to set for a moment, and then lightly perfected with SurrealSkin® Soft Blur Setting Powder in shade ‘1 - Fair Pink'. To finish the skin, I highlighted the high points of the face with Soft Glow Highlighter in ‘Pearl' and layered Soft Pop Powder Blush in 'Mellow Mauve' and 'Poppy Pink' for a soft, romantic flush.

The eyes remained delicate and diffused, beginning with Master Mattes® Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow in ‘Sandstone' as a base, and softly defined with Ethereal Eyes™ Eyeshadow Palette: The Original in shades EE1 and EE3. To bring the look into a more modern space, we added several coats of Master Mascara® in 'Super Black'.

For the lips, we kept it effortless with a softly bitten rose tone, using Ultra Suede® Sculpting Lip Pencil in ‘Hugh' paired with SuperSatin® Lipstick in shade ‘(917)'.

The focus is that dimensional glow ~ layering mauve, plum, and flashes of iridescent yellow from the Ethereal Eyes, Master Metallics, and Master Metals palettes.

Eyes are softly contoured and lifted with plum and mauve, then diffused for that slightly worn-in, hazy effect, with a hit of yellow through the inner corners to catch the light.

I wanted Kim’s makeup to feel like an extension of the look itself. Allen Jones created something that blurs the line between fashion and three dimensional art, so I leaned into that fully. I collaborated with Nadia Lee Cohen and the team to create a soft contrast and a lived-in look with muted, neutral tones that almost resembled the appearance of a mannequin.
