I recently bought this Griffiths of Norwich moulding plane, which from some cursory research may potentially be up to 170 years old. Quite something that this simple piece of wood and steel and be reconditioned and brought back into perfect usage within a few minutes. It cuts beautifully now it’s sharpened, and I don’t have to worry about electro-routing my fingers.
Video shows me moulding some scrap walnut.

The brass was an experiment, but Theo gave me carte-blanche to exercise creative licence and I took him up on his offer.
