Class parties kicked off today with TK celebrations in Room 7! Students performed songs for their families wearing wings they had made and then received individual awards for the "people power" they most embodied this year. The celebration concluded with a shared meal, an art project, and playing outside.
Not sure when your class party is? Please check with your student's teachers. And have a great long weekend!

Is patience quantifiable? That was the light-hearted question that emerged during a lively discussion at the Meher School’s first Women’s Support Circle earlier this month. You can read about the benefits of assigning mathematical quantities to emotions in this blog post (link in bio).

Celebrating AAPI Heritage! On Monday, elementary students made hanbok bookmarks and lei during lunch time to celebrate and raise awareness for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage.
Hanbok is traditional Korean attire that carries over 1,600 years of history. Students created bookmarks by gluing down pre-cut paper hanbok outfits and customizing with drawing their own faces onto the paper heads.
The Hawaiian lei is a garland, often of flowers, that represents love, respect, honor, and friendship. Students constructed their own lei from felt flowers.
A big thank you to Meher School parent Angellica Shepard for bringing AAPI heritage to life for our students in such an engaging, hands-on way.

Our Spring Dance this past Saturday was windy and wonderful. A lively game of wiffle baseball progressed behind the food trucks while children enjoyed the play structures and socializing with their friends, free from the usual school routines. The petting zoo—complete with a donkey, bird, bunnies, and baby goats—was a big hit, and DJ Beau Bergeron brought all ages to the dance floor with a perfect blend of songs.
Thank you so much to all the volunteers who brought the event to life and all those who attended for coming to celebrate the season and enjoy each other's company. And an extra special thanks to @jennchenphotographyfor capturing it all in these lovely photos!

Wouldn't we all love to have a road map to prepare us for the next big transition in our lives? That’s what our TK students have tried to create for preschoolers who are about to make the big leap to TK and kindergarten. You can read about their efforts in our blog (link in bio).

Pizza anyone? 🍕
When Doha Elbadawy, a Room 1 teacher, asked her students what project they would enjoy, they were unanimous in their choice. They wanted to create a restaurant in the class, with one item on the menu – pizza!
You can read all about how it went on our blog (link in bio).

Adults often have a rosy picture of how children’s friendships should be. It’s normal for children to have altercations and misunderstandings, and encouraging them to develop close relationships involves understanding that the struggle is part of the process. In this week's Parenting from the Heart, Susie Kohl shares how she was recently reminded of this by one of our fourth graders and her parent.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌍🌏
Because our students in grades 2-5 had Stanford-10 testing this week, some Earth Day activities at school were delayed. So today, fifth grade teachers Ms. Terry, Mr. John, and Ms. Jackie led their class on a school-wide clean up. In addition to general litter removal, they cleared the space behind the storage bins and cleaned up and organized the ball room.
Thank you fifth graders! You make our world a better place.

Happy World Book Day! 📚📖📜
Every year, UNESCO celebrates World Book and Copyright Day on 23 April to recognize the power books have to act as bridges between generations and across cultures. UNESCO says, “Books are like a window onto another world – with each new page, they introduce us to new people, new cultures and new ideas.” We agree!
At the Meher Schools, we’re pretty obsessed with books and we show it in many ways. We have our Little Library where families can find free books from the community, our elementary students have library class once a week, we have books featured in our spring and fall swaps, and we have our Parent-Child Book Club. In February, Book Club members read Finally Seen by Kelly Yang, and in May, members will be reading One Crazy Summer by Rita Williams-Garcia. For current families, there’s a sign-up link in the Wednesday Messages.
We also have “book lists” that we distribute regularly that feature different Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion topics. You can find these lists in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion section of our News & Updates page.

“If you were a caterpillar what would you eat?”
Instead of having children repeat “here” during roll call, the teachers in Room 7 pose a daily question to the class. In this week's Parenting from the Heart, Susie Kohl discusses how imaginative questions can promote cognition, respectful listening, vocabulary, self-expression, and a feeling of closeness.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
